I wonder how many OEM bands fail the slide test at the factory.

I’m sure some, but I’d bet that the dimensions and such are pretty clear from Apple. I wonder what happens to the ones that fail. Either way, as long as they don’t make it to me, I’m good. I would hope there is t much waste though.

I couldn’t say that as well, which is one reson why I switched to SS and never looked back. So much more joy wearing them :)

This is exactly why I think I’m going with titanium the next time around. I love my Series 7 Nike, but even though it looks black under most lighting, I can still see the blue from time to time and it ruins using a lot of my bands.

I just wish Apple would make a Nike edition in something other than aluminum.

Yeah Ti is also fantastic in terms of look and feel, you surely won’t regret it 👍🏻

I must say I’m always taken aback by the sheer number of millionaire/decamillionaires I see on TV in aluminum. Often sports figures. You make a good point that titanium would serve them just as well for their athletic needs.

But I also wonder for the non-sports celebs if they would feel nerdy (or un-athletic in their own way) in a “spendy” watch. Or maybe they just don’t know or that’s the one Apple gave them?

If (when) this one picks up some scratches, get yourself an ink eraser. My natural titanium S6 picked up some scratches and I was able to buff them right out with a cheap ink eraser I got off Amazon.
This is good know... but for me, I do not care much about the scratches and abrasions on the Ti... that is the patina of the natural titanium. My first  Watch was the aluminum -- that one scratched and gouged and really looked like a POS and I never cared for the bling of the stainless steel which also shows a lot of abrasions. My $0.02: the patina that develops on the natural Ti is a feature not a flaw.
