I just bought an S7 instead of paying more for S8 or getting the Ultra. I was wearing an SE (sold) and S0!

Yes I’ve already claimed someone’s Yellow pre-order and plan to wear it on Starlight but especially SSS:
It’ll be some level of bulky, especially on a mid-sized wrist, but it’s the only Ultra band that looks somewhat clean like our classic bands.

I got the blue one as well as the white one, though for my the ULTRA. I didn't realize the new bands work with the 45mm. Very good to know.
Cantaloupe on White Ceramic is good but I think a little too desaturated or bright or something.
On nügold it’s peak matchy-matchy for me, the chrome of ss with the warmth of gss. I’ll be expecting a BSL in this color group in spring

I do wish the numbers stayed there while on AOD instead of turning into pills. Apple’s way of not giving you too much look alike Hermès goodness lol
That’s what makes it unusable for me lol. California is almost the same but has proper AOD.
I actually went into my local (flagship!) Apple Store a couple of days ago, ie before S8 launches this Friday, to see if they had any leftover S7’s Titanium Edition sitting out the back that I would be willing to buy. Unfortunately I was a little bit too late he said - all gone.
You have a true Special Edition Watch, I would hang onto it as long as you can!
I feel you both. I've been looking at pictures of that face since June, with all the Betas going around, but no one had ever showed a picture of how it looked on AOD, I had assumed it stayed the same with numbers on full display, and I had so many expectations...and seeing it on my wrist for the first time a couple of days ago was tremendously disappointing. I will never trust beta testers again

The numbers-pills-numbers animation while going into/out of always-on is easily the most delightful touch of this (or any) Apple Watch face. I could stare at that for hours.
That’s literally what I thought when I saw the animation. I thought it was a very good animation but AOD is underwhelming to me. Maybe that’s exactly the reason why people only photograph that face when it’s on because the AOD state isn’t as appealing.
