Coming from a MDD G4 Dual 867 MHz with 2 GB ram and a Geekbench score of 824...now a SRMBP 2.4, 2 gb ram, 160/7200, 17" HR, running 10.4.10...:D

Im glad to see that the benchmark even ran, so does that mean I cna look forward to a greater than six times performance improvement?

I need to go start a thread asking which MB is right for me, except I've read so many of those already it would be silly to post another.

posting from a 7 year old IBM thinkpad Pentium3 900mhz, 384mb sdram@100mhz... this laptop was screamingly fast, about $3500 you know...

No, because I have a 2.4 2gb MBP and it got a 3227, then immediately after that I reopened geekbench and scored a 2800 or something like that, so what a good job it does of producing consistent numbers :rolleyes:

Anyway pretty stoked on my 3227 score :D
