I actually use three.

Coach - Top
Calvin Klein - Bottom Left
Red - Bottom Right

Really like the Red pocket wallet however that's the backup for my CK whenever that one breaks down.

Most people don't know a thing about the black AMEX card here in the UK. I applied for the AMEX Platinum card when I was 18 during which time I was becoming more independent and also started up a business so throughout the three years that I had it I was accumulating large sums of money on to the charge card.
When I was 21 in January of this year I enquired about the AMEX black card and within the week I received the card and welcome pack.
There are many myths associated with the card such as it's invite only and that you have to meet very high annual spends. Although there is certainly a fairly high annual spend you have to meet, anyone who has had a platinum card for a few years with a high spend and flawless payment history can enquire and will probably receive one for the annual fee.
The benefits are good but I've seldom used them.
When planning a long trip around Germany they did organise the flights, hotels and transport in between along with recommendations on points of interest I might enjoy and restaurants to try.
I wont be keeping my card next year it's great for some people but just not for me, the Platinum card offers fairly similar concierge service and Diner's Club offer free lounge access for an annual fee of £50. It's really great wallet candy but in most shops here you place your card in the machine yourself so no-one really sees it.

Oh wait a minute, so if no one sees it, then the hell with it I say! 😀 😛 I love using my white Amex 🙂 It's nothing special but people act like it's something special because it's white (pretty new too)

Might be different in the UK but in the US you need to spend $250,000 a year just to be considered. What makes that particularly tough is that you need to average $20,000 a month. Since AMEX does not give a limit that high to regular users, most people who charge that amount need to write AMEX checks ahead of time.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have one for work and we're contemplating getting rid of it. The annual fee for us I believe is $4500 per card. While we love American Express, their concierge service to be frank has turned to crap. Not only that but when we've booked flights we've learned it was way over priced compared to if we did it ourselves. You're right its great pocket candy but it also becomes an annoyance after a while when people ask you what it is or if its real (yes, they've almost turned me away before at BestBuy🙄) I myself use a Gold Card because I can't justify the extra costs for the platinum when I don't ever travel on my own money.

That's odd because we never spend more than 20k a month anymore. My gold card doesn't have a preset spending limit. Of course I can't just go buy a boat with it but they'd call me ask if I can actually budget it before allowing it.

I don't think I've ever had a problem making a charge to my Amex. Though maybe that's a sign of my good credit score 😀

Quite frankly, the only reason I saw the reason to get the Platinum was for the lounge access (Priority Pass, etc.) and some minor benefits included, and I did that for my business card. For personal shopping the Gold card is as high as I see the need to go. I don't and have never used Concierge. Otherwise I don't see the need to spend more on the additional annual fee just to look "special" as that's how I see it with the Centurion card. For annual fee, I can go on another cruise for a week or spend a week on vacation somewhere; the latter two sound like more worthwhile use my money than a card with benefit I'll never take an advantage of. Only recently did I use the accidental protection policy offered on my card. I usually just discard things that break.

To be honest, the quality sucks for the price.

The cards are a good mix of everyday purchase and travel cards.

Chase Freedom is by far the best sensible card on the market.
Chase Southwest gave me 50,000 points
US Airways card gave me 40,000 points
AMEX Zync is good for smaller purchases and keeping myself in check
Discover...I don't know why I got this card...
Lastly, the Hilton Gold membership - great for room upgrades and benefits

How funny is it that I was just looking at that wallet on their website. Was it $300 and if you could do it all over again, would you buy it? Did you happen to check out their leather line?

Sorry, there's no brand written on the wallet. I don't know what brand it is, but it's better than the more expensive slim wallets that I've seen.

All I did was get very, very lucky, and I didn't shop based on the brand.

$300 was before taxes so for sure I wouldn't have bought it if I could go back in time.

I did like their black leather and silver G logo wallet but I got suckered into the monogram one here.

Louis Vuitton quality is a lot better for around the same price. Burberry too.
 
Why do people like to have a wallet that costs like $250+ Personally i see it as a way of showing status, like hey watch me with an gucci,LV or whatever luxery brand. I have no pic but i have a cheap €5 wallet.

Because they tend to last longer and have a warranty, unlike many of the $20 or less ones, plus they have a resale value. Honestly, that is my only reason for buying expensive stuff like that. I have two really like $100 bags. One for just regular errands, another as my school bag. They'll probably last me another 5 years because they're made of quality and durable material. My dad had a wallet made of authentic leather that he bought in the early 90's last him maybe like 10 years.

It's better to spend that kind of money to keep your money in it than to spend a measly $5 on something you're going to have to replace every few months or every year and waste your time emptying and putting things back in order again. Buy cheap food, cheap paper, cheap ink, etc, etc, but don't buy cheap kitchen appliances, furniture, or wallets. You shouldn't have to think about most of those things in the first place.

Well in my country its most the youth that wear those luxery brands most of them are morrocan and i truelly wonder how they can afford it
