It costs more than DVDs and you can't even watch it on a TV...

But it's far more convenient, and that's what you're paying for.

When I was a little kid, I wanted to figure out how to set the VCR to record TV overnight because I was always curious what played when I was sleeping.

A perv from the start. Who woulda thunk it? :)

Just bought the first episode of Sleeper Cell.

I remember seeing a trailer of this series over at my parent's house a little while back, and it piqued my curiosity.

I like 24 enough, so I should like this.

Hmmm... for a moment, I thought Showtime was Showcase...

Would've been interesting how well the Trailer Park Boys would have done.

J to the R.O.C.

I am very happy to see this. Hopefully HBO will get in line.

I hope the rumors are true that Arrested Development will go to Showtime after Fox is done with it. This could mean that I can watch it through the ITMS!

Thing is though that I could understand paying for the convenience of not having to go out and buy it if the quality would be equal. It is not even close to being equal. And when HD content becomes widely available it is going to look like a really poor offer.

Why can't they first get the service right before they stack up on content and offer a decent resolution? Not even being able to watch them in full screen on the lowest screen res Apple offers sucks. Get a grip Apple and offer at least 1024x768. Better yet, offer wide screen. It costs more than DVDs and you can't even watch it on a TV...

How much you wanna bet this is not Apple design but MPAA. Sometimes, the conspiracy theory is true.

You guys should check out Weeds. A very good show despite what people may judge since it is about marijuana. Too bad Showtime pulled the plug on it.

edit: Showtime has announced a 2nd season.

Hmm...well, if you want nudity, I'd suggest Sky TV's *Mile High* program... Although I don't know who would own the American rights to award a license to the iTunes Store. Its a Sky TV product in the UK, but is shown (uncut, except the "F" word is silenced) on BBC America.

If Sky owns the rights, then we won't ever get it because Rupert Murdoch isn't interested in sharing content with the iTunes Store currently.

Eh? The "silent" majority of Americans want it legalized. Of course, the DEA opposes it because they'd pretty much all be out of jobs. Now there's a thought... Defund the DEA and give the money to the military to pay for our foreign adventures instead of running up the debt.

The more programs the better! - Now all we need is iTunes Music Store to spread its wings and fly down to little old New Zealand! - Come on, we're not THAT small - 4 million (well it feels more like 20)

Come on Apple! "Why are we waiting, Why are we waiting...."

I couldn't believe that they have a incomplete season of "sleeper cell" on itunes. Whats the point? The entire show builds to the final episode. Do they think that someone is going to download a few episodes and then subscribe to Showtime? This is unacceptable!

hbo???

I tell ya.. once HBO shows liek deadwood, rome etc are added.. I can kiss my cable tv good bye!

I couldn't agree more. The quality is poor and iTunes tv is reaching a new level of sheepdom. Make it watchable on a larger screen for that much. I'll just keep buying and ripping the dvds.

Funny thing is that at DVD qualities and $1 a show I don't think anyone would watch TV anymore if they had all the shows on iTMS.
Either way... either drop the price to $1 for the silly quality or up the quality. Do both and a lot of people will be trading in their Tivos.

NAh, I watch a lot of dvds. I'd rather watch tv on a big screen too. Tivo is gonna get steamrolled unless they come up with something. I love their software though, can't be beat.

Trying to download "Sleeper Cell" in Canada but the download is "not available" in Canada.
Anyone know why I can't downloaod any tv shows from itunes in Canada?
