Well, what do we have here? Do the stock images and especially the colors look familiar to anyone? ;)

$5 a piece, and Prime shipping eligible. Maybe we've found our US alternative? I bet you anything this is from the same factory. Also, the reviews are typical. People ordered a super-thin case and expected it to protect the phone from a 4-story drop.

I just ordered clear and black for $10 total and they get here Oct 6. Starting to regret my Shumuri purchase.

Hey guys, since so many of these threads are along similar lines (thin, minimal cases) I thought I would cross-post here about a discovery that FuzzMunky made in the Caudabe Veil thread.
https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/20005653/

This is a cheap $3.99 case on Ebay that is very similar to the Caudabe Veil, and he says it actually fits and feels a little better. Check out his pics at the above link for the comparison!

The lip is lower than the screen, and the bottom is open instead of closed. This might appeal to some of you, as it did me. Especially since so many people are having problems with the headphone jack area breaking or tearing. Open bottoms are also much better for using with docks, 30-pin adapters, etc.

Anyway, the actual one FuzzMunky ordered was at this link:

But I also found an eBay search that pulls up all the different colors for this case, and apparently there are several different sellers, so maybe you can find a better price.

Sorry you are regretting it, but glad you got more options at least! ;)

When you have them all, please come back and share some comparisons between them, with pictures if possible.

I'd love to know how they compare.

What do you use to protect the front/glass on the iphone 6/6plus. is there a good combination

Looks pretty cool, but keep in mind this is a "soft" gel-style case, rather than hard shell, as the Shumuri and the others are.

Personally I use a combination of not setting my phone on its screen, not putting ANYTHING else in my pocket with my iPhone, and never dropping it. :D

But seriously, I would never use a screen protector. The feel of them makes me want to vomit.

You must have never experienced a high quality glass screen protector.

True. And I never will. I use iPhones because Apple uses excellent, durable materials. And I've never scratched or cracked a screen in 7 years of heavy daily use.

Just wanted to put up some pics for ppl that are on the fence...
I'm very happy with the case, it is very very slim, feels good in the hand, although it is still a little bit slippery (though not as slippery as the naked phone). Everything fits nicely and it looks good

Yes, which is the same reason why many people don't use cases. But it brings peace of mind.

This is the actual Shumuri case, right?

Haven't looked, but click the ebay search link and look through the list.

Which of these thin case options are made in rubbery/grippy material? It seems like most of them are smooth hard plastic.

Hi, what case is this? Is it the Shumuri? Thanks.

That actually looks really nice - to thin for my liking but the dark-ish blue looks awesome.

(That screen protector has to be one of the worst I've seen lol it's like 1cm from the edge :p)

I picked up 3 from Zydistro in eBay. They were $2.49 each, but buying 3 gave me a $.75 discount. Worth it to test out. I was a case whore with my 4s and 5, said I wouldn't for the 6 and it's already started. Also have an Apple silicone case en route too, lol.

Pretty much none of the ones discussed in this thread. What you want is a TPU case. Search Amazon or ebay for something like "thin TPU iphone 6 case" or substitute "slim".

I've seen quite a few around. Good luck!

Why are there a bunch of deleted posts in this thread? But whoever told me the Amazon knockoff of the Shumuri case was the same was wrong. The Amazon case leaves the bottom unprotected just like the Spigen Air. Tried to save a few bucks, but I'm just going to re-order the Shumuri.

I had to laugh, even their own stock image on amazon has a crack by the headphone piece. I hope the actual units don't get that problem easily.

This time around, Apple did a really nice job with their leather case. I would skip the Shumuri and get the Apple leather one.

Open bottom is a huge deal-breaker for me. But I agree they look nicer than 99% of 3rd party cases out there.

Sure, except that the two cases are not even in this same realm of what people would be looking for. :)

Comparing an ultra thin minimalist case like this to the Apple leather case is a little silly. Not to mention the Apple case is WAY overpriced, and apparently there are issues with fading.

Because some idiot copy and pasted one of my threads word for word into this and several other threads, but changed the Amazon links to his own referral ID. He got reported and the associated posts were deleted.

It seems to be fairly common. That's why I'm sticking with an open bottom case. It's also much easier to get on and off, works easier with different headphone cables, and works better with docks.
