I just edited my last post because I put the Shumuri on my phone and noticed some alignment issues. Because of this, I have to go with the Spigen.

Grip is the same on all three. They feel identical once on the phone.

The Shumuri looks like better cutouts for sure

You mentioned the volume cutouts are off on the Spigen - is it bad or can you post a pic of that?

Thanks man, appreciate it

They're just not centered well. It doesn't impede their function, but it is annoying. I would e-mail Spigen about it, but knowing them they wouldn't get back to me until November.

Again, I apologize for the image quality. Close-ups aren't the iSight/Facetime camera's forte.

Ha yeah they won't respond anytime soon - right about that

Appreciate the pic - gives me a better understanding, thanks

It's pretty simple with Amazon. Start a Chat session and tell them the problem. They will usually bend over backwards to appease you. They gave me a full refund and said to keep the case. If they get enough complaints about this one seller then they might give the sheister the boot.
well, since I had hurriedly clicked the 'return item' button, there is not a 'contact seller' or 'file claim' option. I did cancel my 'return item' and hoped it would reset, but so far the buttons are still greyed out..

do you normally get reimbursed for the orig shipping cost via Amazn returns, or just the return shipping?

I recommend you check out the ebay case if you like the bottom exposed. The grip on my one is substantially better than the Veil or the Johncase I have. Much more grippy. Weirdly it seems to dry your hands after holding it for a while. I found the opposite to be true of the Veil which would make my palms sweat.

That seller has it in a few different colors and other sellers appear to sell the same model.

I have been changing between all the cases I have and this seriously is the best overall. It doesn't cover the screen at all, so you can feel the nice smooth curve of the glass. That's the main issue I have with the Veil type cases over and above the lack of grip. Anyway, repeating myself endlessly now.

You should get full reimbursement if it is fault with the description. But to be honest why bother yourself with having to mail it back to them? Just speak to chat support and they will likely give you a refund and tell you to keep the case.

That's the main reason I went with Caudabe Veil instead. The Veil has very good cutouts.

Just did Amazon chat, They told me I have to ship everything back to get a refund. sorry it didn't work out. Just wish local stores carried more case options than just the big name brands..
this was for the Johncase Amazon.. one was cracked and neither matched the pictures.

My Johncase arrived this weekend and my Shumuri just came today. I've had the Spigen Air Skin for the past week and thought I'd post some comparisons.

The Shumuri (grey) is on the left, the Johncase (blue) is in the middle and the Spigen (greyer) is on the right.

Image
The Spigen is definitely a darker grey than the Shumuri, or perhaps more opaque.

Image
Image
The cut-outs on the bottom for the headphone jack, lightning port, and the speakers are much cleaner on the Shumuri than the Johncase. In fact, the speaker grill isn't completely cut out on the Johncase - there's a thin plastic in one of the holes I will have to push out. The distance between the top of the case and the holes is also less on the Johncase. In the picture it looks like the Johncase is a bit crooked/bent. It is. That is how it arrived, though it probably won't affect how it goes on the phone.

Image
The Spigen case is on top, then the Johncase, then the Shumuri. Again, the cutouts are cleaner on the Shumuri. The Spigen case has individual cut-outs for the volume buttons, while the Shumuri and Johncase don't. However, the buttons aren't centered well on the Spigen. The cut-outs are also slightly smaller on the Shumuri and Johncase than on the Spigen.

Image
Same order. The cut-out for the sleep/wake button on the Shumuri and Johncase is slightly smaller than the Spigen. On the Johncase, it is also ever-so-slightly crooked :(

Image
The camera cut-out for the Shumuri and Johncase is smaller than the Spigen.

Image
Sadly, the cut-outs aren't lined up correctly on the Johncase. Practically unusable. Sorry for the blurriness - it was taken with the FaceTime camera on my MBP.

Image
Unfortunately, the cut-outs are misaligned on the Shumuri as well - although not as bad as on the Johncase.

Overall, the cases are identical in feel/touch. Very similar to the polypropylene folders you can get at Target, though not as thick and a little more rigid. The Spigen seems to either be thicker or stronger than the Shumuri or Johncase. Particularly around the cut-outs, it doesn't bend quite as easily. I haven't experienced this with the Shumuri (yet), but the Spigen case does get the "shadows" of some light scratches. These "shadows" are similar to the ones I experienced on the old Incase Slider cases. Barely noticeable, but there when you look.

Because of the alignment issues, I'll be sticking with my Spigen case for now, as much as I loathe them for their terrible customer service.

Hope it helps!

UPDATE: I contacted Shumuri about the alignment issue on the case. They responded VERY promptly and were happy to replace the case. +1 for Shumuri!

wait your amazon johncase has the bottom covered . now I'm confused

other members are saying that the bottom is open

the Johncase apparently sent out both types, my frost and grey both had open bottoms. the pictures show full coverage on bottom though, that's what I wanted..

Did you mention that the case was cracked?
Try again if you can be bothered. I have done this a bunch of times and if the product is under 10 bucks they have always said to keep it.

So is it now certain that all Shumuri cases have the bottom covered? I've been holding off on getting one.

First i was abit unhappy because its not the same as the product image on their homepage. But after some hours with it on im happy.

Thin, soo thin and good quality. And you can see the 6's backside through the case.
But would been awesome if its was looking as the product image.

Here's some images.

Thanks for the pics! Can't wait for mine to come in at the end of the month.

This is Shumuri? What doesn't match their images? is gray case darker?

- On this image http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/06...-d64b-40cd-9ead-b07cfdaabc2b.png?v=1412135188 it looks like its plastic with a rubber finish for better grip.

But im still happy i picked Shumuri. Awesome case!

You will be happy. Its really a good case. And the camera is just sticking out like 0.1 mm with the Shumuri case.

did anyone have issues with third party lightning cables? the fit on the shumuri seems like it'll only work with apple lightning cables.

Actually, I've even had problems periodically with the official Apple micro usb to lightning adapter. With the Shumuri case the connection is a little loose.

No problem at all though with the rubbishy Apple USB to Lightning cable.

I think I'll still with my AirSkin. I would like the bottom covered but it looks like it will have issues with the non Apple cables I have.
