I recently updated my iMac to OS 12.1
Since then whenever I turn the iMac on, after entering my user password I get a message:
You shut down your computer because of a problem......
with the option to Cancel or Open.

No matter what option I choose, the iMac continues to start up normally.
I did not shut down because of a problem: I shut down as I normally have done.
Can someone tell me why OS 12.1 thinks there is a problem and what I can do to get rid of this nagging message.
Thanks

Happening here as well, when I'm not using the Mac.

Had this on previous MacOS releases, try booting into safe mode and afterwards normal again, see if that resolves the issue.

Im having this same problem!!!

Since I **** down, rebooted in safe mode, shut down again, rebooted again I haven't had the problem. I haven't a clue what the original problem was.

My apologies for reviving an old thread, but here's the way I fix this issue when it happens.

Open Finder and click Go > Go to Folder from the top menu bar.
Copy and paste the following path to the search box and hit Enter.
/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/
Look for a file named Sleep Wake Failure that was created recently.
Delete Sleep Wake Failure log file
Right-click on the file and choose " Move to Trash."
Shut down your Mac.
Turn on your Mac after 30 seconds (you probably don't NEED to wait, that's just how I roll).

Works for me every time.
