Shut Down Time rMBP

I'm around 20-30 seconds on shut down. When I first got it (day after it was announced), shut down was less than 5 seconds. Never been able to figure out what was different

I'm at 20+ seconds too. I've had mine for about a week now and it's been like that since day one. It annoys me because I had an M4 SSD in my 2010 MBP and it shuts down in a few seconds no matter what.

Say why do you care about your shut down time? How often do you shut down? I mean nowadays don't we ALL put our machines to sleep, not shut it down, unless for maintenance purposes?

I still shut things off when I'm not using them. So yeah, it gets shut down a couple times a day or more.
