I currently have Nokia 920, Galxy note 2, and an iphone 5.

Without a doubt, the Nokia is my favorite phone of the three to use. Screen-wise, the iphone 5 in comparison to the nokia and note, feels like a 3gs to a iPhone 5.

Bigger screen does make a huge difference. The Nokia's 4.7 is just right. Once the Note 3 comes out with a 1080P, it will be awesome too. I can see a market for 4 inch but apple should not take this one-size-fits-all approach, when the competition has such great options on offer now.

OS wise, the tiles of win phone 8 and the general GUI and interface is just phenomenal. They don't get the credit they have deserve here.

Then you'll get these idiots who can't decide between getting a 3.5", 4", 4.5" or 5" iPhone. And they'll try each size and return each size and never be happy.

Eh, in my ideal world Apple would ditch the 3.5" form factor and only offer 4" and 5" phones. Should be easy enough to pick from that selection. After all, I don't think many Samsung customers are confused by the choice between the smaller S-flagship and the larger Note.

I agree with the Lannister pig here.

Come on Apple, bring me that 5" iPhone that I already begged from you since last year! Give ur loyal customers choices please! Everyone is different in sizes, so even if one think 4-inch is already too big, a 6ft person would think otherwise!

Jeff didn't like it that big, though.

Okay...

I'm still on a 4S and am dreading the day it dies and I'll have to go with an iPhone 5 with a bigger screen.

It's a phone. It's supposed to easily fit in my pocket and be operated with one hand.

I don't get this attitude. The 4S measures:

115.2 mm (4.54 in) H
58.6 mm (2.31 in) W
9.3 mm (0.37 in) D

The 5 measures:

123.8 mm (4.87 in) H
58.6 mm (2.31 in) W
7.6 mm (0.30 in) D

The 5 is 8,6 mm higher, just as wide as the 4S, and significantly thinner and lighter. Do you honestly mean to tell us that this height difference of 8,6 mm will make or break your user experience? Come on. I'm not a fan of the 5's "longphone" looks and I won't buy a new iPhone until it gets a bigger screen - but one has to applaud Apple for being able to fit a screen that's .5 inches bigger into a form factor that is only a fraction higher, yet thinner and lighter at the same time.

1mm, 8.6mm or 20mm doesn't matter if I can't use it one handed. I like being able to palm my phone, too. Less chance of it breaking on something.

You're going to say similar things comparing the 4" screen to a possibly bigger one, aren't you?

Why can't apple offer multiple sizes for their iphone just like what they do with:
- Macbook Pro
- Macbook Air
- iMac
- iPad
- iPod

Quite literally, iphone is the only one with only a 4" screen (and please don't count previous iPhones, coz those r basically old products). Come on Apple.... I'm starting to get tired of waiting!!!!!!!!!

I wish Android offered top tier phones in a smaller size. You only have one choice category - big.

Well, then you should have written that one-handed usability was your main concern*. Because the difference in dimensions alone is negligible. Also, I've only played around with the iPhone 5, so I can't say for sure, but my impression was that it's still usable with one hand. And I have tiny weak-ass hands. But yeah, I see where you're coming from now; personally, I don't care about one-handed use, since like 90% of the time I use two hands to operate my 4S.

*EDIT: Oops, just saw that you actually mentioned that. My bad, now I rightfully look like a fool :)

Given that this thread is about SCREEN SIZE, why would you make that statement? Last time I checked, 5 inches was bigger than 4.8 inches.

And who's the genius who upvoted this post?

The device being smaller allows the screen to be reached easier...genius...

Hold on a second. You make a blanket statement about the 4 being smaller than the 3, without specifying that you're talking about the device and NOT the screen (on a thread about SCREEN size, mind you), and you are annoyed that someone questioned it?

Uh, no.

it's rather clear I'm taking about the device not the screen... I would of said screen in my post.

The 5-inch iPhone is rumored to be even thinner and lighter than the current iPhone 5! :D

With the exception of iPad 2 to iPad 3, I'm pretty sure all Mac devices are always thinner and by nature lighter than their predecessors.

That said, I love 4" and am fine with it. People are starting to realize that 5" Phablets (note, NOT phones) are a little over the top, thus the "innovators" at Android camp have hit a wall.

i dont wanna switch to android just because android sucks balls...

This statement is a bit annoying. What's the last droid you used on a daily basis...not just picked up, flipped around and sat down or gave back? You statement is something I used to say when I had the htc evo, evo 3d, and incredible 1. I left droid and got an iPhone 4S and then a 5. The s3 came out and work bought me one and all the stuff that passed me off with droid was gone with that phone. No lag, battery life was better than iPhone, bigger screen, widgets, etc. I was with 14 days on my iPhone 5 and returned it. Ride with the s3 and now the note 2. Android OS has come much further than it was. I'm not a fanboy of either...I use two iPads and my note 2. Bottom line is when it comes to a phone, apple has absolutely nothing it does better than a current flagship android.
This is coming from a guy that has all flavors of phones in my desk at work that I issue to employees. Some droids are far worse than others, but apples reign on top is over.
Still best tablet in the business...hands down.

Try reaching for those buttons in the upper right or left corners with one hand.

One hand operation comes after some time with a note 2. Not an issue at all with a s3

That's the problem: it's not just a phone. It's a smart phone with many, many more capabilities. Maybe you'd be happier with just a phone:

I'm personally in the bigger screen camp. I tried an S3 last year though and returned it. Wasn't for me. Too used to iOS. But the screen is still bugging me. If Apple doesn't drop a bigger phone this year, I'll likely keep my 5 until it breaks and get an iPad Mini LTE to carry more regularly.

What were you thinking did you buy it without trying it? I believe the screen size was the same size as when you purchased it. Maybe you need new glasses prescription, and/or turn on accessibility options for yourself. Maybe you need a fat phone like Galaxy Note?

Using the Galaxy Note to make phone calls is like holding a dinner plate to your face. iPhone 5 is perfect.

Cite your source per forum rules.

Sir, please don't be rude to the customers. I just read a thread in which you argued that the S4 was not pentile, were proven wrong by about a million people, and then just went away.

Sometimes, as you are well aware, alluding to "sources" isn't exactly iron-clad, especially when those sources you link to don't back up what you say.

This is a RUMORS forum, after all.

Have a pleasant day. :)
