Hey all,
no good news so far...

I filed a report to security and they told me they would go through the recordings of that day and try to find something.

12 days have passed now and I haven't heard a thing.

The problem is, I believe, the huge amount of confidential information circulating within my company: I have a feeling that the security team is more concerned on how to avoid letting people know that there was a theft in the building rather than finding out where my iPod is.
I can't do any harm, but as an iPod was stolen, so could a number of documents which are supposed to be vitals to governments and industries around the globe: and I think our security department is better off without causing a fuss on this.

Depressing and unconfirmed, but I am afraid I will never get my iPod back.

Tell them you used your iPod as a data carrier as well, and that there were secure documents on it for transport. See if that will move them into action.

Yeh, don't worry it happens to the best of us. Mine got stolen too. It got stolen while I was a school. I was so pissed off. It was such a bad time to get it stolen too because it was in the transition between no old stock of 5gens and not new 5.5gens. So I had to wait at least a month until I got my iPod back! It feels really good when you do get it back though.

Isn't it covered under Home insurance? Isn't it if you have something under the value of '$x' (around $600 I think) outside your home and it gets stolen its still under home contents insurance? But then again every insurance company is different and I don't even know their policy because my parents do all the work.

Good luck, with the security cameras, like someone mention make something up to convince them to search the feed. Good luck, once again!
