Apple pushed the deadline to April 2020 so you can bet large app makers will test the feature before but won't go live till they are required to. This will give them more time to collect and sell data of their user base.

I was looking for such a list. I wasn't surprised by the very few apps that support sign in with apple though.

Thank you for this.
Better than nothing. As for sign in with Apple, which is our topic in this tread, the list only includes apps supporting it but not websites. It’s really surprising that even websites dedicated to technology full time where many articles about sign in with apple were posted such as macrumors, the verge or apple insider still haven’t added a ‘sign in with apple’ button to their login pages. They’ve published so many articles about the feature that I thought by now, more than two weeks after the public releasze of iOS 13 and with macOS Catalina now out, all of these websites would be supporting sign in with Apple. To my shock, they still aren’t.

I doubt the list will become any longer until is becomes mandatory in april 2020. For now, we’re mostly stuck with the old school sign in options.

I’m most looking forward to Disqus. It’s used all over the web for commenting on sites and I’m very wary of being tracked like that, specially since I know that my comments then influence ads I see on Facebook and products suggested to me on Amazon.

April 2020 can’t fast enough. I’ll be ditching my Facebook account at that point. I only keep it for logging into sites that require it.

I would me using this for new apps I use but I’m not just gonna make new accounts on everything

You don’t have to create a new account. For Wordpress for example, I hit Sign In with Apple, then used my real email and it matched it up with my existing Wordpress account.

The april 2020 is only for apps, though, since apple can control whether an app is listed in the appstore or not. They can’t control the contents of websites, so they can’t enforce the deadline on them.

Right, but for sites that are available as apps, they’ll have to provide SignIn With Apple on their sites if they’re doing so in their apps. Otherwise, those users won’t be able to log in. I think that by this time next year, Sign In With Apple will become as widespread as the Facebook sign in and listed alongside it.

I’ve gotten confirmation that TuneIn and Ritual will be offering Sign In With Apple “ahead of the requirement”. Not too surprising since it’ll be required but they could’ve gone the other way and removed Facebook login so that they wouldn’t have to add Apple’s. It’s also good to know that they’re working on it now which means that theoretically we shouldn’t have to wait until April 2020 for it to show up. It’s a simple API to add to apps that already have Facebook sign in.

I have a question. Some sites or apps doesn’t ask me if I want to tell them my mail address. When I’m logging into the iCloud settings I cannot change it. Am I doing something wrong?
