I got the Verizon carrier update last week to 19.1 and it has been a noticeable difference. Many time LTE has gone down to 3G in spots where it never had before.

My data speeds at home are continually getting worse. I've gone from 15Mb down to 1-2 down. Verizon sent me a replacement phone and it has the same issue. I was hoping the phone would ship with 8.2 so i could test the speeds before the 8.3 update, but it shipped with 8.3.

I got the latest carrier update and it made no difference. LTE is virtually unusable to me in many areas now,a nd it used to work great there.

Blame the carrier for adding more and more users, who use more and more data, without improving infrastructure at the same rate.

It's definitely not that. I live in a very small town. And this all started with the 8.3 update, just as others have reported. It's an iPhone issue.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one noticed that after that carrier update.

Well my fios just went down and I can't get a tech till Friday. My phone is still having the lte problem so it looks like very limited internet for me for 2 days :(. Fml

I've also noticed a substantial decline is LTE strength since receiving the carrier update.
Haven't really noticed that--about the same as before. But it will switch off of LTE sooner than before when in areas with poor LTE signal.

My home is in a weak LTE area. I'm actually getting slightly better signal strength with 19.1 on my 6 Plus. After every carrier update I do a Reset Network Setting.

I guess that is a more accurate way to say it. I'm on 3G considerably more now. I did the network reset this morning and will see if that helps.

That might be because LTE in those areas is bad enough that being on 3G would be better (vs trying to spend more battery power trying to hold on to the poorer LTE signal there).

I left Verizon a month ago for T Mobile due to signal issues. I had been with them a very long time but I was getting bumped to 3g all the time and my DL rate was horrible according to speed test. Sometimes I timed out on simple stuff like the android app store. I was using a Note 3 at the time.

Ever since the 8.3 upgrade on my iPhone 6+ on Verizon, I've been seeing worse signal in my hometown. Instead of a constant LTE, it sometimes goes to 3G, 1x, and occasionally no signal. I had thought maybe it was a tower problem in my area.

Well today at work (which is 30 miles away from my house), I've tried sending texts from my office and am having issues. I have poor signal at my desk as it is (it bounces between 1x and 3g), but it's always enough to send/receive phone calls, and send/receive texts. Today I have been unable to send texts because it is always on 1 bar of 1x or no signal.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I've done a hard reset several times. I have not tried a restore or anything like that yet.

Thanks.
I've had similar issues. And I have had a carrier update within the last few days. Still periods of intermittent 3G or 1x signal and then it bounces back to LTE. It's annoying. Don't recall having this issue with my iPhone 5, but I don't want to say it's a 6 Plus specific issue. Might be Verizon too.

I am on AT&T (iPhone 5S), but I wanted to chime in...

I have been falling back to 4G in MANY places where I used to get LTE. Sometimes I will make a call, and the radio shows 4G (as it should), and when I hang up, I don't get LTE back for a while (although toggling LTE off then on will give me LTE again).

I am wondering if it's my phone, the carrier update, iOS 8.3 or AT&T upgrading / having network problems.

Just like to echo the issues others are having. I'm on Verizon and received the carrier update a couple weeks back. I was traveling to SLC and figured it was due to being in a new area.
But since arriving back home my iPhone drops back to 3G very easily, and because of this it's been draining my battery quickly. And my LTE signal seems weaker as well.

I put in a ticket with Verizon about my issue. Supposedly they will send a tower engineer to my address, and so a signal test from both an iPhone and an android phone to see if it is limited to iPhones or a general signal issue.

Awesome, keep us posted
