Has the reception improved in comparison to the previous models?

I think the professor is saying the signal strength required. No. 1 is able to pick up a signal strength of -98.8 dBM, while no. 37 requires a stronger signal (-88 dBm).

That assumption would make the chart ranking make sense. I was making the assumption that the measurements were an RSSI of some sort.

I can only compare it to my previous devices both android and both Samsung the n4 and n5. I am very impressed by the radios in the 6s+. I am not going to get in the weeds of signal strength but I am very happy to have solid 4g coverage in many places I only had 3G coverage and sometimes even 1x coverage on my Samsung devices. The big one being my house. My 6s+ seems to hang on to signal much better. While not scientific it is enough to make my wife jump ship to apple after seeing my experience.

I just got my Sim Free 6S Plus yesterday and so far the reception is the same as my 6 Plus. I went in an area today that always drops the LTE signal down to 4G, but I noticed my 6S Plus stayed at one LTE bar until I left that spot.

My 6S seems about the same or better than my 6 on Verizon. Can't remember it being much different across all the iPhones i've had. Guess I live in an area with good coverage.

Correct when I tried posting this thread Tapatalk kept indicating it was unable to start a thread which clearly it was. So sorry about that.

No need to explain as I tried Tapatalk and it was horrible. Seems like someone would come up with a better way. I always go to the full website now if my iPad or computer is not available.

The reception has dropped. Definetily.

I own the 6 and the 6S Plus now. I will return the 6S Plus as it is constantly switching to 3G/E when it should be on 4G. My 6 has no problems whatsoever, but still not the best ranking phone on reception.

I hope Apple does a better antenna or at least take it into consideration with the iPhone 7 when assembling it.

My 6+ definitely had worse reception than my 6s+. I have 1-2 bars at my house and I'd consistently be unable to receive or make calls (just get notified of voicemails). My 6s+ will fail to make a call every now and then but not nearly as often. Definitely seems a lot more responsive reception wise.

Biggest difference for me? Audio is 2x louder on my 6s+. My 6+ I'd have it at max volume and it was difficult to hear. My 6s+ is at 50% volume and is louder than my 6+ on max.
