I can't get a straight answer from Apple. Is the IPhone x sent signature required or not?

Delivery to an address? Yes. But you can leave the pre-signed release form on your door and then the package will be left on whenever you wrote it on the form

Yes, Apple requires an adult signature for iPhone X. Ultimately, it's up to the delivery person to leave the package or not without signature and/or accept the pre-sign release form.

I personally would not do this. You give up too many rights. See if package can be routed to a UPS or FDX facility if you cannot be there. FDX makes it crazy to do.. UPS not so much.

Agreed. In my case, since I live in an apartment, I asked them to leave it in the leasing office instead.

I'm going to be home. I am worried I am going to receive an empty box like others on here.

No signature required when delivered to my residence. I was home when fedex delivered line and they rang the door bell and drove off.

That's what I'm afraid of. Driver pockets my device and leaves an empty box.

Signature doesn't need to be an adult.

I’ve had both an 8+ and the X delivered to my home in the last month. The shipping details for both stated “no signature required”. My 8+ was actually left outside my door. Fortunately someone answered the door for the X delivery.

Wow thats scary. Leaving a phone that is more than $1000 at you door step. When I ordered the X, it told me signature was required, and UPS required a signature

UPS just left my X sitting at the front door
The phone was gone when I got home. Called Apple and they are investigating.

If somebody was concerned about having the device ship to the residence, then I would have it held at the carrier hub or shipped to a business where you work as well.

I had two 256GB iPhone X delivered this week to my residence. No signature required - delivered by UPS. They left them both outside the door (and as usual didn’t even ring the bell).

Apple has always required a signature for expensive items like phones, watches, etc for the last 10 years of buying stuff from them. It comes by FedEx and you can presign for it by printing out the form and putting it on your door.

It has changed now and if you device is delivered by UPS, they can just toss at the door and leave.

Changed in the last 3 weeks? I just bought an Apple watch S3 Nike, and it came by FedEx and required a signature.

I am talking about UPS.

Relax!

That member was not referring to UPS you quoted them in Post #18, they were referring to Fed-Ex requiring a signature.
