Welcome to the rest of the world America.
Quite.

TBH I don't know I like the idea of implants, people should be happy with their breasts, (and bodies in general) how they are. However people should be allowed to have them if they want to.

What is all this "should" business?
With the question, you've managed nicely to lump in Silicone Valley, the subjunctive and free will. Pretty impressive, but hard to keep abreast.

This just in...

Prices of computing components have shot up world wide as most of the silicon is now being diverted to the Los Angeles area of the USA.

Oh wait, silicone, not silicon.

*looks at BSc (Chem) hanging on wall, looks at post, hangs head in shame*

Silicone actually contains Silicon so you are at least partly right, the rest is hydrocarbons (oil).

What's the difference. Just fill a bag full of jelly and just squish it in there. The type of soft material they put in there makes no difference to me. I think it's all a bit strange.

God bless fake t*ts. And real ones. But especially fake ones.;)

This sucks.

I'm a firm believer in real ones, but I cant stand silicones.

My grandmother had a HUGE breast cancer scare when she had strange marks and welts appearing on her breasts. She had to have biopsies and surgeries and they finally figured out it was ruptured implants done decades ago.
They had to remove them but they were so well encapsulated that the removal caused serious cosmetic damage and required reconstructive surgery to get her looking even remotely normal.

Saline is far far more watery feeling than any kind of silicone which has always felt firmer and more realistic. Saline also doesn't keep its form if it ruptures like silicone will. Also if a silicone implant ruptures it doesn't leak into the body like a saline pouch would. So it does make a difference.
