For those that say that people should be happy with how they are I have some issue with that. I know you mean well, but frankly, there are situations where plastic surgery is entirely valid. Case in point, one of my aunts had natural DD's. The weight they put on her slight frame was enormous and she had chronic back pain. She finally had breast augmentation surgery to reduce their size down to a C and she's never been happier.
I, personally, like my breast size so the fact that silicone implants are approved doesn't really affect me at this point. However, that opinion could change down the road if, heaven forbid, I ever needed a mastecomy or something. It's nice to know there are more realistic options that would be available.
I don't have a problem with doing a little reconstructive surgery if the person finds it necessary to their mental, emotional, and/or physical health. I don't particularly agree with those that have so much work done that their body has become an entirely new entity, but to each his own, I guess. I personally wouldn't mind having some lipo to take off some excess on my butt/hips/thighs that no amount of exercise has ever been able to do, but I don't know if I'll ever get around to it. I'd also like to have the option of getting it if I can never get my flat stomach back after having kids. 😀
