Which one? And why?

For me leather is more nice (except for bright colours) with patina, but silicone is better for water resistance and bright colours like Product Red (that’s my favourite). But I’m unable to decide 😂
 
I just changed the leather one for the silicon case because I need to wash my phone daily and the leather would be ruined (Also it is more difficult to thoroughly cleanse).

P.S. I know I have a hard plastic otterbox case laying around, but for the life of me, I can't find it anywhere.

I like the silicone better as well. Seems more durable to me. That said, I typical only use black cases, and the fact that the back silicone is by far a mess (finger prints, oils, dust) makes the silicone hard for me. I can never seem to get used to a colorful case.

I would love to see the surf blue and cactus in person
 
I’ve owned both over the years. If you like bright colours, neither wear very well. The silicone goes shiny on the edges fairly quickly, and the brighter leather discolours (yes, ’patina’, but I really don’t think it’s very attractive unless it’s a brown or black leather).

I now use a fabric pouch, which I know isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but I like it as I get scratch and ding protection whilst it’s carried around but also get to hold the phone caseless.

Surf blue is gorgeous. I have the alaskan and also the Pine Green, which I haven’t used yet. Maybe swap to that one soon

Black Leather all the way. Silicon sticks to your pocket and gets dusty.

Other than black colors get 'patina' which I believe is a fancy word for 'looks like crap' although others disagree.

Is the leather cases still really slippery as previous cases? As that made me get the silcone instead from the 11 pro max.
 
Leather all day feels much nicer and they only look better with age. Silicone just looks bad the older it gets and also with dark colors you can see pocket lint

....leather cases are only slippery when new (just like the silicone cases) but after a while when they naturally absorb the oils from your hands, they will naturally want to grip your hands instead.

I'm actually using a Mujjo leather case on my iPhone XS, which are the same as the Apple cases apart from the buttons, which are also leather on the Mujjo case.
 
The lack of an Apple leather case for the XR and 11 is a major deterrent for me. I sure hope they make them for the iPhone 12!
 
How is your experience using silicone case, does it catch too much lint, dust, stains and is it washable? I have used the leather case and thinking of trying silicone case for different colors but I do like to keep my phone and case pretty neat looking so wanted to know from those who have used before

Mine didn't get dirty at all and I really liked the white case. I use the black leather 98% of the time because it just feels way more premium.
