I'm set on aluminium this time around, but I just can't make up my mind between silver and space grey. I was thinking silver to give more strap choices, but I do like both.

I need some last minute inspiration.

I’m in exactly the same boat, can’t decide...

I’ve got a 42mm space gray series 0 and have always sort of regretted getting space gray because firstly I had to wait longer to get it and then band choices seemed more limited. However, recently it seems as though there are more band available to suit the space gray model.

I’ve got a silver one with sports loop set up in my favourites on the app ready to purchase but now I’m finding myself drawn back to space gray!

Count how many of each colour body you like. I definitely like more silver combos.

I personally like silver, it's easier to pair bands with and it does have more of a classy look to it if you will. I do like the space gray, but it's difficult to pair bands with and it will show damage more with scratches.

I initially bought the SG Series 0 because I thought it looked better (like the iPhone did). However, not many people at the time had an AW. When I first saw someone on the subway having a Silver Watch I was envious. It looked so freaking good. I will definitely buy a Silver Watch this time around.

I've switched back to wanting space gray because I think it looks better in person and the silver looks better in photos. My SG series 0 has only one tiny scratch after 2 years

I'm hoping to get space grey. Was a battle between silver and that though. Let us know what you choose.

Try the app!
Yeah, I always use the app as it’s always up before the web site.

Got my space gray ordered with sport loop along with a new Apple TV 4K. Got my email confirmation at 8:03 and delivery due on Friday 22nd.
I just hope I don’t regret my colour choice!

Still so undecided between the silver and space grey. Trouble is, it's human nature to want the one you don't have I guess.

Lucky you got delivery. They said 2-3 weeks for delivery on mine so I'm going to have to go and get it.

My Apple Watch series 0 was the stainless steel version, which I've enjoyed, but I've always liked the Space Grey Sports and the bands that go with them. So that's what I ordered this time. My delivery date is the 22nd. I actually never intended to get the watch right now, but since the iPhone X is delayed, I went for it.

The strap choice(s) reason is legitimate. I bought and still have the series 0 rose gold colored sport (aluminum) and finding bands that actually match, including the metal hardware is virtually impossible. Even though Apple makes matching bands for the various colored aluminum models, they refuse to sell them "a la carte".

Thanks Peter. So you think silver then?

The quick and easy answer is yes, silver. However, I'm not sure if you have a previous generation Apple Watch and/or if you'll be wearing it still and/or what color it is.

Empirically stated, silver will match more bands then space gray. Finally though, I have a feeling space gray will do a lot better than my rose gold. So silver is the "right" answer, but space gray isn't "wrong".

I've come across this as well. Went with space gray, although I know the silver is so much more easy to pair. Plus I will be using it mostly using it for running so no need to find dressy bands that match.

Silver does look somewhat cheaper in person. Would really prefer SS, but too expensive.

I went to the store yesterday to help me decide size and color. I got the space grey. The silver looks bigger than the darker space grey. I have had a fitbit for almost 2 years. my favorite frame/bands, are that have black frames. The black screen and dark frame become one visually...

I'm glad I stumbled on this thread because I've been vacillating for the past few days! I have a S0 Space Gray that I've worn every day since Launch. It's scratch- and dent-free and I've found a number of nice bands for it in the past 2+ years. I've logged miles with Nike+ for nearly 10 years so I have wanted a Nike version since they were introduced with S2.

But what color? The only thing I dislike about my current Space Gray is that the range of bands that look good with it is very slim. There are so many good-looking leather bands in various shades I want to use, so I ordered a S3 Silver Nike+.

I just thought I’d follow up on this for completeness. Having received both watches last Friday, I immediately preferred the space grey. I thought I’d prefer the silver because it would be easier to match with straps, but no.

One thing I like about the space gray sport Apple Watch, is that it blends in with the display nicely. But pairing the bands is a bit more difficult.

Agreed. I’ve currently got the Sport Loop but not keen. Will get a black Sport Band for swimming/running, and I think the black Woven Nylon for the rest of the time.

I have an unofficial light grey Sport-style band at the moment, and the contrast is really nice!
