Silver or space grey?

I just thought I’d follow up on this for completeness. Having received both watches last Friday, I immediately preferred the space grey. I thought I’d prefer the silver because it would be easier to match with straps, but no.

Yeah I’m very happy with my decision to stick with space grey and even the red dot on my crown doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would.

The sport loop is very comfortable too..

I just managed to get my cellular working yesterday after waiting a few days to switch number to my new operator. It was great being able to go for a walk with my dogs without my phone and still be able to stream music and reply to texts and even make a phone call. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t normally do those last two as the purpose of the walk is to relax and get away from things for a while, but in this case it was a text to my son and a chat with a friend just to test it out. The watch and AirPods is a really good combination with excellent sound quality at both ends and no 4G dropouts at all. Very impressive!

Same decision for me earlier this year. I knew I wanted aluminum for my first watch. Cheaper so I could see if I liked it enough to upgrade later. In person the silver aluminum looked a lot cheaper and not as polished as space grey. Stainless if I ever upgrade will definitely be silver.

Bands aren’t a problem. I’d think you could have more matching bands with a black case than silver. Check out the GOOD third party leather alternatives. There are many leather options with black buckles (whatever the thing that joins the strap to the watch is called )

So far with my space grey I have the bike strap, white sports, red sports , Milanese loop black, red and blue leather loops, one third party space grey steel link bracelet and a reddish brown leather band with black buckles. They all look fantastic.

Enjoy your watch. It’s addictive. I’m already listing after a series 3 white ceramic.

I think Space Gray is best for a watch, and maximum matching straps.

I'm a Silver fan for most everything else, tho.

I pondered this, decided on silver because although I hated the silver band and didn't mind the space grey band, I didn't really want either, and a brown strap looks far better with silver.

thankfully the decision was made for me, the shop only had space grey or rose gold, so got the space grey, bought a brown strap and haven't even thought about changing it as I'm happy with the original strap. I will get round to trying it at some stage.
