Are we seriously whining about a 2 cent tool not being included that would only be used once. Get a life. Or an android since some of those include it.

Mine didn't come with one, but I guess it's because it came with a new sim. I don't remember if my previous phones came with one.

I think maybe the first two models? I think that was about it, though. It's been awhile.
Correct for the United States. They do ship with cellular iPads though.

----------

The issue is not how to find one paperclip, I have 5 SIM eject tools, the issue is that Apple every time offer you less for the same money.

How much can cost the sim tool if you buy millions, I am sure that for Apple is less than 20 cents for every tool or maybe less and they decided that they will save that money, does it changes their finances doing this?

Reading the posts here it looks like for some countries Apple decides to include them or not. Why not include them for everyone. I would like more to have that SIM tool than the Apple logo stickers.

Seriously?

The first iphone includes the charger of the ipad, that charger is a lot better and helps you charge the iphone a lot faster.

Right now Apple decided to replace that charger for a less power full one, like this they always offer you less for the same money.

I really don't see the big deal. Oh no, Apple didn't give me a SIM eject tool. What are people going to whine about next?

I didn't get one but had to get my SIM out of my iPhone 5 and put into my iPhone 6+, used a pin from the sewing box like I said and it worked fine. I usually use the SIM tool one time and then throw it away or lose it anyways.

No, the one that came with the original iPhone was a 5w brick, but it was huge like the iPod chargers of the time. With the 3G they shrunk the brick to the "ultra-compact" size, but it was still a 5w brick. The first iPads had 10w bricks, the 4th gen had a 12w and the 1st gen mini had a 5w brick while the retina mini has a 10w brick.

I know this because I have an original iPhone. Now, it did come with a dock which was really nice.

Phones sold outside the US and unlocked phones in the US are sold with the tool. In the US with a locked phone you are presumed to not have to change SIMs and thus are not given the tool so you can't screw with the SIM all too easily.
Another example of Apple knows best

And the iphone charger what do you think.

In the future Apple is going to sell the iphone in the stores without a box because they have to pay some cents per box.

The main reason for this thread is not the SIM eject tool, the main reason is that Apple always offer you less than before.

How much could it cost Apple offering the same charger as the ipad on the iphone 6? But they decided that they have to save some money there. I think that is wrong.

i had verizon, arent all verizon iphones unlocked?

I've kept my sim ejector tool from when apple gave it to you a few years ago. Even if I didnt, it's not hard to open anyway.

You can buy like 10 for $.25 on eBay or something like that. Who really cares if Apple doesn't include them for US customers?

Main reason probably being that with over half of the US being on the CDMA standard, there isn't very much sim card swapping going on. They really wouldn't be used very much, if at all.

You're quoting my quote of you?

Apple didn't replace the charger, it has never changed.

I use my sim eject tool from my Lukia phone. That's the only useful thing I got out of that phone. I use the sim eject tool every time I sell my old phone to remove the sim. I have a pile of old sims in my junk drawer.

Then. Walk. Away.

There's no gun to your head. This is a free country. Feel free to voice your dislike of Apple's policies by emailing tcook@apple.com or by no longer purchasing Apple's products, but crying about it on an Apple fan discussion forum will most likely earn you nothing but ridicule.

I agree with ike if it costs a few cents then Apple should have no problem including it. The reasoning that locked iphones do not need to come with them is ridiculous because buying a phone locked does not mean it is going to stay locked. Also someone may have a need to change sims on the same carrier. In case you guys did not notice Apple iphones are basically luxury phones. Apple has in some ways killed the luxury phone segment. There are numerous articlea which support my thinking regarding the iphone being a luxury phone. Every phone above a certain price point and in particular every luxury phone has certain items included. I think it is just good manners for Apple to include the sim eject tool AND a cleaning cloth in all their retail boxes. I believe that macs, ipads and iphones in particular should have a cleaning cloth. Apple is a insanely liquid company who claims to pride itself on the customer experience. Lately apple fanboys and girls give Apple a pass on everything so Apple stays exceeding customer expectations since the customers are pretty much pleased with anything. Yup Apple is above reproach since they are so perfect.

Actually, the title of your thread is No SIM eject tool in iphone 6. So talking about the charger and if Apple will or won't sell the iPhone without a box (which is just stupid) is irrelevant to the conversation.

I don't feel like Apple is offering me any less than before. I don't care if the charger for my phone is less powerful than an iPad's. When I charge my iPhone, it's usually when I'm sleeping so I don't care how long it takes. If I need a more powerful charger, I'll buy one.

You say they'll stop selling iPhones in boxes as if it's a fact. That doesn't even make sense. First off, if people had to go to the Apple store to buy the iPhone, then they would lose a TON of business. There are a TON of people that live in the middle of no where, where there aren't any Apple Stores or other locations to buy directly from. Apple is about making money but they're not about being so dirt cheap they don't use any common sense.

It doesn't matter if it costs extra for the removal tool or not. Anyone with a brain can use a normal pin and pop it out just the same. That's what I did, and it worked perfectly.

But what was inside the original iphone charger because it was too big. Event it was only 5W I am sure that there was something better than the charger of the iphone 6. The folding connectors and all the design is better. There was even a recall for chargers of the iphone because they are not as good as the original or from the ipad.

My 5S came with a SIM tool. I was surprised to see as my AT&T 4s didn't come with one. But I switched carriers to a local carrier that uses CMDA and has roaming aggreements with Verizion and I guess they include it. I'm definately keeping the tool though.

There was none in mine. I turned into a huge pita because I left the house right after ups dropped it off. I needed to covert the sim from my android one.

I was in a area that had nothing right sized laying around. I ended up having to go to the store and buy a pack of sweet rolls just for the bag tie.

I'm on a low carb diet so I couldn't even enjoy the bread and gave it to a friend.

You owe me $2.99 apple!!!! Lol

WOW I find a safety pin works perfectly! I needed it to confirm an carrier unlock on my iPhone 5S.

I personally wish that they didn't include one with any iphone, it's a totally unnecessary waste of metal.

And before anyone says "it's tiny, there's no waste" just have a think about how many iphones Apple sells every year and how many tiny bits of metal add up to quite a considerable amount

They were recalled because the prongs could get stuck in the outlet. The charger itself was fine, the prongs however would get stuck and ripped out. AFAIK, there are no internal differences between the charger that shipped with the original iPhone and iPhone 3G, it was all just mintureized.

iPad chargers are another story, they actually push a higher wattage then the iPhone bricks.

Only unlocked iPhones had SIM removal tools in the last 3 years now. And how often do people actually use them? Once?
