This game is made for all of you who have been watching our werewolves games, and have wanted to join in but felt overwhelmed by our rules' ever increasing in prolixity.
Once upon a time, before there were vampires or money, there existed a simple village of simple means. This is a foray back to those roots.
Whether you're a new citizen or a board-certified lycanthrope detector, I welcome you back to where it all started.
Rules:
The Bad Guys:
Werewolves: Every night the werewolves will kill one villager. Their goal is to achieve a majority among the villagers. There are three werewolves.
The Good Guys:
Seer: The seer scans one player per night. He is looking for wolves. Although he works for the village, he may wish to choose to conceal his identity to avoid wolf attack.
Hunter: The hunter chooses one villager per night to protect from wolf attack. He cannot protect him or the same villager twice in a row. The hunter is immune to one wolf attack. There are 2 hunters.
Day
During the day, villagers will submit their vote for whom they believe the wolf is. To vote for someone, bold their name. Each villager(including wolves) is allowed one vote per day. You can change your vote at any time before the deadline by bolding a new name. At the end of the day, the person with the most votes will be lynched, and will identity will be revealed.
Night
During the night, wolves will PM me their kill. Seers will PM me their scan. Hunters will PM me their protectee.
That's about it. If you have any questions, just them in thread.
IF YOU EDIT YOUR POSTS, YOU MUST GIVE A REASON.

I'll play if you'll have me.

No hard feelings if I get lynched early. :p

Though if we're limiting sign ups and new users want to play, feel free to boot me of course.

Ditto.

Is it possible to be lynched by the game master? Because I bet Appleguy votes for me first. ;)

Does that mean you're in?
I'll go Old Testament on Moyank24 if the situation warrants it. :p

I'll play but like Nathan, my registration will depend if some new user wants in, they first then me.
Like I said, I'm not limiting entries everyone that wants in can play, even if there are 50 players. This might warrant more seers/hunters if it happens.

I still don't get it. How do you know if you're a werewolf or hunter or what? I just see a bunch of "I'm in"s..

this is just the 'recruitment' phase.
when there are enough players, the gamemaster (appleguy in this case) will send all the players a PM detailing their role and when the game actually begins.

appleguy, is this going to be a fixed-deadline or a majority-lock game? or both (whatever comes first)?
also in the instructions "Each villager (including wolves) is allowed one vote per day" could be read by new players as if you cannot change your vote once it is cast. maybe expand a bit on that.

Fixed deadline. I'll work on detailing the description of voting.

I had trouble at first figuring out how these games play. Basically, the info you need about your character is PM'd to you at various times during the game- generally when dawn and dusk arrive in the game's Village. The info is stuff like your role, monies earned, revelations of your using your special abilities if you have any. Depends on the iteration of the game, some have more complex variables such as monies, or special-abilities, some (like AppleGuy123) are simple.

You Also communicate to the Game Master via PM or email stuff like what you want your character to do: bank money, buy things, use any special abilities, etc., if those factors pertain to the game you are playing.

Most of the game play events occur during the Village's night time, the results of everyone's requests to the Game Master.

The other aspect of the game occurs in this thread. We characters talk amongst our selves via posts. You author posts with information and/or disinformation, you ask questions, air suspicions, and most importantly you have to vote or bid (or whatever - based on how the game is setup) to kill off one of the village characters. Who you want killed off depends on your role and your strategy.

There are other variables, but seems to me to be the basic framework of these games. They usually play out over several days, and the more you play and understand what's going on, the more fun it is.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget this rule:

Always vote for Don't Panic on the first day. On the second day, you can vote for who ever you want to.
