Hi,

This isn’t an iOS version compatibility issue, just a bad update issue. Unnecessary backstory:
Zynga finally killed Draw Something Pro (the last version of Draw Something that wasn’t broken) with an update a few days ago. Yes I still play it! Basically there’s a game ruining change to the render engine that they applied to the classic version nearly two years ago. Something to do with vector data compression I think. They must be oblivious to the bug as this week they finally applied it to the neglected Draw Something Pro.

I still have the previous version of Draw Something Pro installed on my iPad (auto updates are off).

My friend has a new iPad and wants to install the same old version, not the new version that’s currently available on the App Store.

I don’t want to send my friend complicated instructions to use Charles Proxy and edit XML files. Could I instead send my friend the prepared app file with instructions for it to be placed in the correct folder, then sync with iPad? I assume it would need purchasing then deleting on the target iPad first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I could spend hours with with trial and error but I thought there’s no harm in asking people more knowledgeable.

If it makes a difference regarding app thinning, we both have the 2018 iPad.

I’m wondering if my friend could buy the app via iTunes on a Mac, then replace the newly downloaded file in the Mobile Applications folder with one that I have sent, then finally sync with iPad.
