Since the 4.0.1 update what's the max number of bars you get?

I used to always get 5 full bars where ever I was, ever since 4.0.1 I can only get to 4, not complaining but just wondering what other people are finding out.

Before I would usually have 5 or none. Rarely was there a middle ground.

Here in Germany I usually have five bars. I have also never experienced a dropped call and I think that the iphone 4 has a better signal than most phones.

Used to get to 5 at home on my 3GS but were the bars being less accurately displayed on the 3GS?

Since the update I get 2-3 less bars. Rarely ever do I get 5 bars-3G.

At least now I know the true signal strength.

on GPRS
4.0 = 5 bars.
4.0.1 = 5 Bars.

on 3G
4.0 = 5 Bars.
4.0.0.1 = 2-3 Bars.

Signal is more sensitive in 4.0.1 though, will go between 3-5 whereas with 4.0 it'd stay 5, and drop to 4 RARELY. (GPRS)

Still 5 bars n most places. The only place where it is different is in my apartment. With my 3g I could barely hold a conversation because it would either drop the call or the quality was so poor. With my ip4 I used to get 4 bars here with 4.0, now I get 2 (occasionally 1) but I haven't dropped a call yet.

I don't care about bars honestly. I used to drop a call on average at least once a day with my 3g and I haven't yet with my 4.

In the newport beach, laguna beach, and dana point area, AT&T works great. We're still getting a maximum of 5 bars. It'll never drop below 3 bars around here
