Siri AI Will Have a Waitlist When iOS 27 Launches

Not sure where this myth came from, you can absolutely shut it off, you just have to turn off Siri, since Siri is now Apple Intelligence

And turn off Siri equals no wireless CarPlay, that is my issue, don't want to start plugging my phone in in the car
 
Anyone have a good article/summary of how the models will be set up for Siri AI? Will Google have access to the queries/data, or are they hosted by Apple with only Apple licensing the model and having access to the related user data?

There is no AI war. I use all the AI tools at work they all have good and bad points. We have no idea what will survive when the AI bubble pops in a year or two.

Also, they're talking about getting access this Apple Intelligence, which can take some time to get provisioned. How long that provision takes once it goes to production no one knows.

Apple Intelligence is not connected to Google Gemini in anyway. Apple is simply using some of their models in their own stack.
 
Perhaps if you have the beta and have Siri AI now, you will remain signed up? I waited a week at least.

It would be inefficient to take me off the list and then put me back on.
 
They don't need a waitlist, there's already one that's long enough as it is : even though Gemini is localized in a whole array or languages, Siri AI will be english only at first 😵
 
This has got to be one of the longest sagas and drawn out processes for what will likely end up being a third rate AI platform. It does have great potential being baked into Apple devices, but I’ll believe it’ll even come close to reaching it when I see it.

Long beta periods aren’t abnormal, but I kinda expect more from Apple.
 
New Siri sucks still... Just give us an option to have our own third party AI.
Why they are at it please give us a default Google maps option too..
