This inability to integrate Siri in all platforms at the same time is just mind boggling. This Apple we are talking about. Now i could not care less.

There are two things that Mac OS X needs right now-- Siri integration, and a touchscreen for notebooks. Amazingly, Windows has the lead in both of these areas. And that just should not be....

My work laptop has a touchscreen. I have never intentionally use it. Sometimes I accidentally use it and screw stuff up as a result.

I also never use the voice assistant. I have that disabled entirely.

So... no. Neither of those are things that seem even slightly interesting to me. Apple needs to give us better hardware. The software has been pretty perfect for a long time on OS X.

The mouse cursor getting bigger when you shake it is the only thing Apple did that was really useful in the last ~5 years, I think. The revamped UI was nice, but unnecessary.

[Siri in other languages]

He Siri, Hij Siri, Hi Serie, ...damnit...

HEY... Siri

I have nice suggestion for Apple to improve OS X. The ability to reorder and maintain your 3rd party menubar items and positions in your menubar without the use of 3rd party software. What about a copy/paste history clip manager between OS X and iOS.

Hello 2016!

I think the "siri" menu bar button will change, I don't mind it though. The dock icon is amazing.

I just hope that Siri will work on my mid 2015 macbook pro

I do think that Apple is late to the game with Siri on the Mac, but it's possible they were concerned more about the user experience than the technical implementation. For example, if 10 million Macs starting querying Siri, the data centres may become overloaded.

True, because we wouldn't want the servers being pinged by 1 billion iOS devices to process data for an additional 10 million Macs?

We've had Siri since 2011, this is a clear indicator that they're running out of ideas. Better late than never I guess...

Because work on Siri is far from complete

What??? Have they been sitting on their asses for the past year? WWDC is only less than two months away!

In my opinion Siri is the peace of software that has been neglected the most. I really don't see, that it has evolved much in the years, since its introduction. And there are a lot of things, that it still just does not understand, drives me nuts.

You would think that voice commands and recognition would be a top r&d field for Apple. It better gets a big time overhaul in iOS 10 and the next MacOS.

Sounds about right, it's one thing they have not done on Mac, so maybe Siri will be a major part of wwdc. Some might find it useful. I can see it being a major part of Apple Music also.
