I am not surprised by any of this.
While Siri did manage a few streaks of accurate answers, including three consecutive correct responses for Super Bowls V through VII, it also had a remarkable string of 15 consecutive incorrect answers spanning Super Bowls XVII through XXXII.
🤣

JK, Apple should hire better programmers for Siri/IA or pay for ChatGPT, they get enough money from Google so they can easily afford to pay for ChatGPT or other IA.
Or ask openAI for a few b$ every year to have chatgpt as default AI in IOs!

I’m wondering if Siri’s trouble with these queries stems from the use of Roman numerals in Super Bowl titles. For instance, if I ask “who won Super Bowl XX,” the response is Dallas Cowboys, or a list of information about Super Bowls.

But if I ask “Who won the Super Bowl in 1986,” it always comes back with the correct answer, the Chicago Bears.

Apple AI is late and failing.

Everything made by software team last few years are really far from 2010 innovation, quality and simplicity.

I tried the same Superbowl test, and Siri consistently gave me the right answer. And in the test cited, it's clear from the actual responses that Siri never misidentified the winner of any Superbowl; Siri always identifies that it's Superbowl XII that the Eagles won. Siri was acting more like it misheard the question. That's a bug, but not the "hallucination" that is implied.

It is quite strange. Out of curiosity I tried a similar question on another sport (Italian soccer Serie A) and Siri gave me a very pertinent link:

The main difference here is AI is not yet really involved in my iOS , being in EU 🧐
