We need a Siri button.....NOW!
I'm tired of holding pressing the home button forever and waiting.
Raise to speak doesn't always work either.
We need a Siri button.....NOW!
And a Face Time button.
And a brightness button.
And an iPod button.
And a camera button.
And an Angry Birds button.
And...
Not in favor of more buttons![]()

Wow. So many people here drink the kool-aid about physical buttons being a bad thing, but the only reason Jobs doesnt like buttons is because many times he values aesthetics more than functionality (that isnt an attack, he admits it so its okay for Apple fans to accept it).
Siri is NOT simply a new feature, this is the the future of USING an Apple product so the key here is to figure out whats the most efficient way of activating it. And holding the button down, waiting for a "beep beep" and then talking takes too much time when simply pressing a button and immediately asking a query would be more natural and efficient.

Agreed. That would be handy. A camera button would be handy too. In fact, there's be a lot of things that buttons could help with.
That's one thing I like about Android, the 4 buttons... Not that it would help activating anything while the screen is off though, considering they're almost always capacitive.
Random rant!
Sorry, but thats a load of rubbish. What if you type and each keystroke took "only 1.5 seconds" before appearing on the screen? Is that acceptable because we are too impatient or does it affect the way we use a product? And seriously, if you find the 1.5-2 second it takes to activate Siri to be intolerably long, you need to learn to be a bit more patient.
