I think Samsung makes probably the best looking and best TV's out there, and that is 1 sweet looking TV!!!!

Apple don't currently make a TV, so they are not competing in this market against Samsung, anywhere in the world.

If Apple get into the TV market, they will compete, and I have no doubt that they'll do well in this market. There is no point arguing about it now though, since we don't even know yet if there will be a apple TV yet, nor what it will do or what it'll look like.

Most Apple owners care about ease of use, something that I believe can only be fully achieved through good design.
Samsung makes an easy TV to use and THAT I have person experience in. Up until a few years ago I set up TV's/home entertainment systems/home networking and Samsung has their stuff straight. They are easy to use, look nice and even the days when cable cards were being pushed, they had the easiest system to set them up. I like my Apple toys as much as anyone else, but they will probably sell an 720P TV for the same price as a Samsung 1080P 3D, and lets face it, Samsung will probably make the displays for Apple also.

The only thing is, Apple would have to make the TV work with all brands of cable boxes. I would want Siri to work with all my TV functions, not just the Apple branded ones. I don't want to have to use a remote for this, my voice for that, remote again, voice again. . .

If the point is to get rid of the remote, which I am all for, then get rid of all remotes.

Unless they found a way to make 50+ inch LCD LED tvs not suck, I'll be sticking to plasma.;)

That's a matter of opinion obviously and one that I don't share. LCD's have come a long way in recent years especially regards their black levels and in my opinion one would be very hard pressed to see any difference between a quality LCD and plasma TV.

I don't use Siri on my 4S, I'm just not the type of user who finds himself in those kinds of situations, I ride a motorcycle year round for one. But even still I really don't find talking to a tv something I would want to do. So I hope Apple isn't just banking on voice interaction as I really won't be interested.

I hope they don't think everyone suddenly wants voice control of everything. For one they are already way late to the game. My philips phone I had 13 years ago had voice control and since then it's def got better but apple just jumped on the band wagon and suddenly they push voice control as the next big thing. It has it's uses but I got a feeling they gonna push this more than people really need it.
