people use the landscape writing? I'd opt out if I could so annoying when it flips to the side.

You can opt out of the handwriting to have your keyboard back just press the little keyboard icon in the bottom right corner when you are on handwriting and you will have a keyboard :)

Good. Stickers are a rip off.

Not all of them are a rip off, but I do agree some are crap and are they charge money for them that's what I would call a rip off

Not surprising - the entire interface is a convoluted mess. It takes way too many taps to do anything with it. It's very un-Apple like.

It's made even worse since iOS tends to ignore your taps if you do it too soon, so 5 taps becomes 10 frustrated ones.

iMessage has become such an utter mess and full of bugs, I've gone from valuing it as one of the best reasons to use an iPhone to wanting to move on to something else.

That’s an issue with cutesy gimmicks. They’re novel at first, but unless they become a fashion trend, they fade from a lack of utility. Nice try, Apple. What else you got in the pipeline?

I'm hoping it's going to be some sort of music-orientated social networking service.

What "full of bugs? I don't have any issues with iMessage and have lots of activity on it.

Sensor Tower points to confusion over the iMessage App Store's UI and app discovery that could be leading to an overall lack of user interactivity with the apps, and subsequently resulting in developers' fading interest.

That statement above couldn't be any more true.

To launch an IMessage app and sticker pack, users look for it on the home screen! (As they typically would expect to.) But.... To launch an app or sticker pack, users need to tap many multiple times. Some developers even feel the need to include instructions on their app descriptions on how to locate the app. THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. IT SHOULD BE SIMPLE TO LAUNCH AN IMESSAGE APP.

iMessage apps should be as simple as launching the emoji keyboard which everyone is familiar with.

SOMEBODY GET THE SIMPLE STICK OUT AND HIT MESSAGES WITH IT.

APPLE HAS COMPLETELY SCREWED UP THE UI AND UX WITH APPS ON IMESSAGE. PLEASE FIX IT IN BETA 8 OF IOS10.3! IT'S SO ANNOYING TO USE.

[doublepost=1489751214][/doublepost]iOS also never shows how to use stickers or apps for iMessage. Users need to get it as a tip.

I know I complain about this often, but I just want a way to turn it off completely, similar to Apple Music. The chat app platform on top of my iMessage just slows it all to hell.

Right, Apple will introduce a whole UI/UX change in something like a beta 8 all of a sudden...if anything, only because it was "requested" in bold caps.

It acts like an iMessage app and saves a history of your messages/doodles. I doodled a penis I'm rather proud of- I have been systematically spamming certain people I know ever since.

Umm I'm in the UK and 99% of the people I know use iMessage, the occasional Android person I just text.

I've used WhatsApp like twice for sending a pic to an Android user.

Considering the market share Android has in the UK I don't believe for a minute that 99% (or anything close to that) of people you know use iphones. Whilst I don't use WhatsApp since Facebook took it over I don't use iMessage either as it's not cross platform.

I'm going to agree with you.
Judging by friends/family/associates it's a 50:50 split.

Just out of curiousity, what messaging app do you use?

I guess I missed this innovation!

Ok 99% maybe a slight exaggeration but I have around 150 contacts and I have 4 non iOS contacts, my best mate, a good mate, my aunty and another mate. It was 6 but I converted my mum from a dumb phone to an iPhone, and converted another mate from Android to iPhone.

The market share for Android is typically the same as iOS in the UK, and i'm in London, i'm sure there will be more Android users in the poorer parts of the UK - so it's very easy for most of your contacts to be on a single platform. I would love my other 4 contacts to be on the same platform as it's very frustrating not having the iMessage features for them, unfortuantly 2 of my friends are anti apple, but I will work on the other friend, I don't message my Aunty much so don't really care if she uses Android :p

I've noticed the iMessage App Store grow as well in sales and page views and impressions it's been getting better and better the more people find out about it :)
