Make sure your mics are free from any dirt or grim. Give them a clean and try again. Mic quality should be good To excellent.

It is well known by now that mic quality for calls on AirPods Pro is terrible...listening to audio/ANC all good but they have zero ability at isolating external noise. I now carry around trusty EarPods - yes corded EarPods as the call quality is 100% better because the mic is closer to your mouth and you don't have any BT compression issues (c'mon Apple when are you switching to a better BT high definition codec?)

Don't believe me? Anytime I am stuck with only my AirPods Pro needing to make a call I make a quick voice memo to sample how I will sound...If I am in a noisy environment eg. cafe this test usually fails as my voice is a garbled mess of all the noise around me. Switch to EarPods make another voice memo problem solved voice is crystal clear!

Other companies have already solved this issue with a combination of more mics and noise isolation algorithms (but of course many of these headphones are much larger than AirPods Pro). Hopefully this iOS update improves voice isolation as most of us operate in a noisy world AND make phone calls!

I want third gen AirPods Pro this autumn! This line is one of the best products Apple has ever made. They come out with a new one, I buy it immediately. I only ask that they would come out with more colors. If that is too much, can we at least get black?

Ah oh that makes more sense. I don’t go too fast either but I think it’s often the wind, anything more than a slight breeze and I’m told callers can’t hear me. Oh well I hope they improve that soon, meanwhile after being hit by an SUV I try to never ride with any headphones anyway, stay safe out there!

The scariest thing I do everyday is ride my bike to school. So many drivers texting, not paying attention, etc... I can take the yelling of abuse and being sprayed with water.

Anyway, same to you man, hope you're back on the bike again. An accident can shake you up but cycling is a great way to get around and explore the city.

I did not know that. Pro user - take a voice memo to see how it sounds.

Maybe the next gen will be better.

I still think it amazing that a microphone positioned in your ear can pick up your voice. Incredible!

Thank you for that. 🙂

The auto connection to a Mac has been a major annoyance for years.
Quoting in full so others see it.

I wonder why I missed that Mac/settings/Bluetooth (i) for so long ? Was it always there ?

Regardless, Apple should tidy this up. It’s a significant irritant.
Yeah “when last connected” doesn't sound like the opposite of “automatically.

"when last connected" should be the default. If I use the pods on my iPhone 99% of the time and my Mac 1% then they should assume I want to use them on my iPhone first. But the change seems to be holding.

Voice isolation coming to air pod pro 1 and 2.

Conclusion - only voice isolation coming to air pod pro 2.

This is recirculation of what is already out there. Where is the World famous Mac rumors analysis over the top?

You could have googled a solution to this rather than living with the annoyance. Glad its sorted for you now.

You got one of those RF shield bags? Lolz. I’ve never had BT connection break with the phone in my bag and I’ve got an iPhone 12.

If the touch gestures on your AP Pro don’t work, take it back to Apple for a replacement.

I don’t quite get the complaint around sound quality over Bluetooth. If your ears are sharp enough to tell the difference you need to go wired.
Nope, no shielded bag. Just a regular old fashioned leather bag.

As for touch gestures, they "work", just not well. A little bit of moister on my hands, or not touching just the "correct" way, and nothing.

Also would like multipoint. And easier switching between devices. And a security key, or way to lock the AirPods Pro so others can't connect. Would like the devices to work better than they do on non-Apple products. Would like a better and deeper fit

As I said, many many many issues.
