mines the 32gb 2nd gen, although it was a gift from apple so i pretty much lucked out in that respect!:)

tbh though, i would have found it a squeeze with anything smaller. I usually carry about 16gigs of music, a good few videos, some podcasts and a collection of photographs.

I have an 8 gig cuz it was the cheapest, I got it for my birthday so I couldn't really pick, but I know a couple fiends that would buy the touch if it had a hard drive in it, they have ipod videos 1200 gig right now and just aren't going with the touch on this; they said they're going to the archos 5 because it's touch screen, wifi enabled, full browser, I think flash is enabled, you can make it a full gps system, you can make it a dvr thing, and theres games for it. But I say that the touch is still better, the app store says it all. They say once apple puts a hard drive in it, they're in the apple store with the cash

After playing with and Archos and using a Touch, I would agree the Touch is "better" in regards to ease of use. I do like the DVR aspect of the Archos, but it takes an add on piece of hardware to use that function. I was thinking about getting one for that use until I saw the total price of all the pieces.

Size does matter, a lot.

I wanted to get the 32GB but didn't have enough money so I just got the 16GB.
It doesn't bother me as much as I expected it would but I hope to get a 120GB iPod classic in a few months.
I would really like a 64GB asap. *crosses fingers for January*

32gig because I don't like switching music constantly. I like to have my whole library at my finger tips so that I can listen to whatever I am in the mood for. If there was a 64 gig option I would have gotten it.
