I should be getting the cut out soon. I have high hopes for it, but I am sure there will be a learning curve. The designer has a macbook pro but glossy and it appears the black bezel part is larger on his than it is on the HR AG. He has all the measurements, and there will be cutouts for the iSight camera and light sensor. We are trying to resolve the issue with the lettering on the bottom of the screen. We are going to try out a couple different things (i.e. offset the "Macbook Pro" to the right hand side and have it be precisely cut out so that the silver shows through the lettering or have no lettering, or do something...not sure yet). I think there might be some variation there depending on what people like.

I'll post up pics and a review/description of how installation goes over on gadgetmac in a few days.

I have an 11.6" macbook air, so the next project will be getting a black skin for that machine assuming this one works!

I'm interested in a black bezel for the 11" as well. I sent the person from Italy a PM asking for info on their skin and never got a response. I'm looking for one of these ASAP, so I'm subscribing to this thread. :)

My developer emailed me and told me that the skin he made for my HR AG has been shipped.

I will be applying the skin, and recording my observations of the process and the result - and posting pictures.

We have plans to develop skins for the 11" air. They will be coming out as soon as we iron out the kinks with our HR AG design...should be coming soon!

Review to come, but here is a taste.

It was hard to apply no lie, and is not perfect. I got a couple bubbles that should die down, but I am VERY happy with the results. I have one more skin that I may or may not apply to give it a second shot. Next up: Macbook Air. Keep an eye out!

Looks pretty nice, good job! The only thing I'd suggest after seeing those low-res pics is covering up the model name. On the Air it's printed on so shouldn't be an issue, I don't remember how the pro's are though.

Can't wait to see the next few steps! I'm in for one.

+1 on not having the cut out to show the model name. At least make it an option.

I know there are lots of sites that sell those plastic skins people use to decorate their laptops, but has anyone see a black one to go around the new macbook air screen? I think this thing would look really sharp with a black bezel, and I don't want to risk painting it or anything myself...:)

Wow that would be so cool. I would be first in line to get one of those for my new MacBook Air 11 inch:)

good question

Anything available in London? Apple has made some bad design decisions with macbooks.
