I have a real problem believing that a British news company would suspend all other news coverage at 6PM for a briefing about a phone from an American tech company. In fact, I don't think they'd even do that at 3AM.

This ain't a guy with a gun to his head. It's a phone with a bug. They'll mention it a little during the bulletin and the the speccy guy will talk about it a little bit more in the tech segment they have around 7.30, if that is even on tonight.

Key word being COVERAGE. It will be the presenters commenting on information passed to them from their reporters @ the conference. Not a live feed from the conference itself, in my opinion.

Yes I love arrows! Watch ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Which Liveblog site?

well regardless I'll have sky news on tv an a liveblog up on pc either way all the details will come out of what was said thats all that matters

Any particular recommendations for liveblog sites? Preferably something a little impartial, if that's possible :)

Sky have been known to be rather sensationalist over trivial issues. They're a rolling news channel, and pretty much repeat themselves every 30m to an hour. I think they can give away a few minutes to a press conference (they already do it for House of Commons proceedings or speeches), since they'll just continue once it is over.

If there was something more newsworthy they'll cut to it. No big deal. Even if they don't see the need to put it on their main channel, it'll probably be on one of the interactive streams.

Oh, and since the iPhone has been released they've got a huge hardon over it. To them, this probably is newsworthy.

lol just went on the sky news page and saw these photos...

Blueman: Ahh! You've done well Steve!
Steve: (thinking to himself: Urgh hes doing the deathgrip...just smile!) Yes Blueman, It's a fine piece of gear :)

Steve looks like a madman with those eyes. Maybe hes furious with the guy beside him saying he can't get a signal.

Steve: THIS MY FRIEND, is how you hold it! see *points* you don't touch the antenna! even i can see that and i don't have my glasses on!

Blueman: Ahh yes Sir Jobs :D I see the way now... Thank you so much!

Just for a bit of humour cmon! :)

That "Blueman" is the russian president.

Apple would never let their conferences be streamed live. They done it a few times back in the '90s (I think) but never since.

You posted this on the O2 UK forum aswell. It's simply them just saying that their presenters will say what is happening and keeping their viewers updated every so often.

I'm pretty sure that line about coverage is included in most stories about upcoming events on their site.

They wont have live video of the conference, Apple never lets you show live video of its events.

I thought you all knew that by now.

And the live blogging will probably be very limited if Apple asks the journalists to turn off all the wifi again.
