The bottom line of this entire thread is:

Should Apple and Skype shake hands / join forces to create the ultimate supervidchattechnology? Obviously the answer is yes!
Will they do it? Who knows. Is it worth getting our hopes up? Maybe.

One proprietary VoIP provider joining another proprietary VoIP provider. What could possibly be wrong with that?
 
Just downloaded the updated Skype App 3.0, seems to have been updated even though its not Dec 30 2010 here, about 20 minutes to go, tried it as well works well so far, with that said I did only try it over WiFi will try 3G later.
