I hate paying full price for a remaster but Skyrim was worth it just for a more stable running game nevermind the graphical bump which looks better in pictures than it does moving. Here's hoping for Fallout 3 and NV remasters.

NV was a different developer so that is very unlikely. It be nice but...yeah, any contracted work for that game is over really. I preferred NV over FO4 in a few ways I won't lie.

For those interesting in mods....log in and pull them down now. Seems skyrim is under reporting surge frenzy. I log in daily and see 2-3 l now pulled daily (they show as filename.esp...local copy, you won't find on the site anymore). Not all these mods of the slooty variety. And for the slooty ones (I have them, I won't lie) they have been an up for months....now in 3 days they fall off in droves.

I was playing NV on my iMac, but I got a good deal on it for my PS3. One thing I was not liking about NV was the need to clean/maintain the gun. Seems like an unnecessary thing in a game. Admittedly I didn't get too far into the game, maybe I'll pick it back up.

That's understandable, it's not for everyone. I agree it's a bold move to ask full retail for an old game.

However I think if they re released it without upgraded graphics and no DLC they would have asked 30-40 bucks. So I can personally justify that 20-30 dollar difference.

I would like to see bug fixing and AI upgrades though. I doubt that stuff was addressed.

I stopped playing it on the PC because I kept running into bug after bug. If the version for the Switch ends up being relatively bug free I might give it another go. I hope the revamp the menu as well.

Not likely. Even the PS4 and xbone were just basic retexturing release. I run unofficial patch mod for bugs several years old and bethesda has no desire to ever fix them. Like one handed enchants boosts not affecting daggers. That's a known bug from long ago. And still alive today. Which is a shame, you apply unofficial patch, get this functionality back like its supposed to be and viola, daggers can be for more than sneak up throat slitting really not relying on elemental fury.

Unpatched many just run elemental fury dagger in left hand and axe/sword in right. dagger in left as that determines attack speed, war axe or one hand hand sword for the now much more rapid damage dealing.

Gah. A VR version AND Switch version this year? God I hope the VR one is just a free (or paid) DLC for the original. The Switch one with its motion controls looks really cool too. If I could only get one I dunno which one I'd go for, because getting lost in a full VR RPG would be wonderful, but being able to play a vast RPG on the go would also be pretty wonderful. What a year.

Playing Skyrim on Switch on the go (and at home) has been one of my greatest pleasures of 2017. And I've played a lot of Skyrim in the past (PS3, PS4, Win on Boot Camp). I was particularly impressed with the load-times.

I don't know about that, but from the videos i've seen of the game, I'm not sold. There seems to a lack of precision in aiming particularly with bows, plus it seems its a bit clunky because the game wasn't designed with VR in mind and Bethesda had to make some adjustments because of that.

While I like them trying to keep the game fresh, I think everyone is looking for Bethesda to stop squeezing profits out of these old games and roll out the next iteration of Elder Scrolls.
