Is anyone else having a difficult time deciding between these two?

Currently coming from a SS Series 9 I’m leaning towards the Natural Titanium as the Sliver colour, which closely resembles the previous SS, is now an Hermes exclusive.

While this seems like the closest alternative, the slate option is also tempting.

Not many videos/pics of these two out in the wild yet so please share if you found any good ones.

From some YouTube videos I’ve seen, the Natural looks pretty similar to S9 Silver Stainless Steel. I’m having a difficult time deciding too.

One major caveat is all the Titanium watches have a PVD coating, so you can’t polish the scratches out of the Natural finish without removing the finish.

I noticed the natural appears more “darker” or “tinted” than SS in lower lighting if that makes sense. It doesn’t quite pop the same way Sliver does from the Hermes line up.

And that’s a good point you brought up about PVD, I didn’t think of that. Not that I polished my SS watches ever but the option to do so if needed was nice.

So I guess from a scratch resistance perspective, the color doesn’t make much of a difference. It’s more about the appearance, especially when paired with different bands. That’s what’s making it hard for me to decide at least.

Just scoured YouTube for any decent closeups and iJustine showed off the colors briefly.

Still ordered Slate because I wanted the darkest possible color for titanium - still wish they’d go back to (space) black in general but c’est la vie.

Space Black was also one of my favs and my go to before I switched to SS.

I saw her YouTube short but the colours weren’t very clear. One thing I did notice about the slate was how much darker it looks than graphite SS from the past which I liked.

I’m still struggling, I’ve ordered both, slate coming 20th and natural the week after.

I originally ordered slate because I wanted a polished watch but not the bright shiny silver of steel and so slate seemed to be the one, but then I saw pictures of it, even on apples website, seemingly a little earthy coloured which isn’t what I wanted. Then I saw the natural looking perhaps a bit more muted compared to the bright silver steel so I thought that will be the way to go. Don’t think I’ll be able to be sure without seeing them in the flesh

I think I'm leaning more towards the natural now, I think the slate might be a little too dark and although I dont want the watch to be "blingy" I think the natural might be best for me, maybe also be more neutral for band matching too, but I dont know till I see them

Nice! I'm thinking of getting the 42mm Series 10 in Slate Titanium, but would the previous 38mm (Space Black) Stainless Steel Link Bracelet fit this newer case size?

Looks like it if 9to5Mac is correct (they are pulling the info from Apple) - https://9to5mac.com/2024/09/09/apple-watch-series-10-bands-compatibility/

That’s fair! I have a lot of sport bands (various colors) and they all look nice with either silver or graphite SS so I’d assume it’ll be the same for natural and slate titanium.

Can’t go wrong with either honestly.

I usually wear a braided solo loop, in midnight or rainforest or similar, I feel like they would go better with natural but maybe that’s not true, I want the combination to look good both daily and in a work setting, I don’t know, I’m just guessing until they actually arrive!

I have old I think space black and silver Milanese loops. Will either match the new series 10s slate or natural respectively?

Honestly those colors look good with either so that was smart of you to order both!

That's great! I'm gonna go in-store next week with my 38mm Link Bracelet and ask the staff if I could try my 38mm band on the newer 42mm case size to confirm how it fits, before placing my order for the 42mm Series 10 in Slate Titanium.

Titanium models at 7:23. The slate looks like I'd expect. Apples product photos show it as slightly brownish/taupe but if this video is accurate I like it.
Those Apple product photos are soooo bad. iPhone 15 Pro colors looked completely different vs in-person and like you said, it made the Slate watch look almost brown.

Having a hard time choosing between slate and natural as well. In the photos slate almost looks black which I like a lot. Seems a lot darker then my graphite s7.

I’m the opposite here haha, I like how bright and shiny Natural looks in the earlier pic shared in this thread. This image shows it as toned down or earthy. To each their own though!

I want to like Slate but I can’t help but feel it looks too similar for my liking to the Jet Black Aluminum. For the steep price difference that’s not ideal.

Natural looks nice and sleek but also distinguished enough in its right.

In terms of looks, I agree from a distance the two may be hard to tell apart but the materials when worn will be noticeable. The aluminum vs titanium body as well as the sapphire display will give it a more premium feel.

I’m still struggling, I’ve ordered both, slate coming 20th and natural the week after.

This is what I ended up doing, I’ve ordered both and will pick them up on the 24th when I get back from vacation. I’ll need to see both in person before coming to a conclusion. If comparison photos haven’t been shared by then in this thread, I’ll give it an update.

I currently have the SS 7 ing gold and now chose the gold titanium 10. I have a lot of bands which work realy nice together with gold. The series 7 has a very light gold tone. From the pictures it looks like the series 10 has a far more pronaunced one. Let's wait how it looks in person.

Wow I am also going through the same Dilema! When I first saw the Jet Black, I was like wow that is beautiful but when they said it only came with Ion X glass, that was a dealbreaker for me. The Slate Titanium would be the closest match to the Jet Black with the benefit of the Sapphie glass, however will it go with alot of the styles of bands I already have had in the past for my Stainless Steel and Natural Titanium ultra models.

The Slate looks like the old graphite on the website, but seems much darker in person.
