Is there a sleep tracking app for the Apple Watch that also provides a smart alarm feature?

How is the battery for the new Apple watch? I use a Xiaomi device to track my sleep because of the long life charge it holds (30days). Wouldn't dream of using my Apple watch because I have to charge it every night.
same here! Which xiaomi device do you use?

Absolute rubbish. If you are talking about a three year old S0, then sure. However, he was asking about the new Apple Watch. Generation 3 easily last 2-3 days even when active.
series 0 lasts for 2 days and always has

I downloaded it yesterday and did not work for me also. Said I could restart my Apple Watch and maybe fix the issue. We'll see tonight. If it does not work, I'll remove it. I was using Pillow, but I hated having to Start it and Stop it in the morning. Apple should have this automatically like FitBit. That is the one thing I do miss about my old FitBit.

I'm still pondering, what do people use sleep data for? Say if I see that rolling around all night and not getting enough sleep, then what? It's not like these apps are providing suggestion how to improve sleep patterns.

Not sure how long "still" implies that you've been pondering this, but it's really quite simple:

Bring your sleep info to a doctor? Implying that the apps are useless because they don't tell you explicitly how to improve your life is foolish.

Sleep cycle, for example, will ask specific questions about what you did during a day, and then you can see what your sleep pattern was at night, then compare it to other days. If one had great sleep two nights of the week, and relatively poor sleep the rest of the week, and the only difference is that they worked out the days that their sleep was superior, then it's easy to understand that working out more would improve that person's sleep quality.

I could keep going, but this is easy stuff to figure out.

Yeah this. Wear my Series 2 all day, usually 90 minutes of various workouts, use it at lot for controlling music and podcasts. Never dips below 50% in a day.

Battery is old now, from launchday Series 2. Series 3 is even better by all accounts.

My S0 was lousy, but that’s not what we're discussing.

Does anyone know, is there a sleep app that gives you a graph of what kind of sleep you were having at what time? My doctor and I are trying to figure out if I have a particular condition but sleep studies have been inconclusive due to how weird the sleeping conditions are, and my insurance doesn’t cover the much cheaper home-based test (ironic, huh)?

I have noticed this behavior with my apple watch: if I put it on without touching the screen, it stays inactive. Meaning it doesn't take my heart rate(although the step counting continue to work). I just downloaded this app and gave it full permission. It gave me sleep data for the pass few weeks, except last night because I forgot to activate my watch. I think this app just reads data from what Apple watch is already collecting, such as step, heart rate, energy burn...

[doublepost=1521649869][/doublepost]I use my watch all day and all night and I still have over 50% left. I charge it while shaving showering, all the things you do when you arise. Usually that is enough time to bring it back to 100% and then the cycle begins again.

i didnt say light.. its either the heart sensor or the magnetic underneath the watch thats giving me problems

You said it was giving you pain and that you wanted a watch without the heart sensor, which is two leds. There was no mention of a magnets.

We must have different definitions of active. A lot of people have been disappointed by the lack of a full day battery life when tracking exercise and being active. It will for sure last longer if you are just sitting on your couch all day.

Well what do you mean by being active? My series 2 lasts a full day of me being on my feet at work and then getting home for a 10k run then some circuit training it then had enough battery to track my sleep. I would consider myself pretty active.
If you are running a marathon daily then yeah I can probably see your point.

I consider myself active.

Most days I’ll do 45-55 minutes weight training early morning, on my feet a lot at work, 30 minute HIIT on my spinning bike in the evening, occasionally a 10k run. Hit about 900 calories move goal most days. Series 2 never goes below 50%. If I doubled my activity I’d still eek out a day from it.

Granted, it probably doesn’t hold up for hours and hours of triathlon or iron man type stuff, but that’s forgivable. Besides, I’m sure there’s better products specifically tailored for those activities available, and I’d probably favour those were I a super serious athlete.

Mate. I get all my rings every day and train 3-5 days a week. I charge my watch an hour every morning and never run out of battery.
