So i've read posts, and people say that they don't necessarily shutdown their computer, but rather put it into sleep. I'm wondering, is it better to put the computer to sleep rather than shutting it down at night? if so, do i leave the power cord attached? or should i just put it to sleep if im going to leave it for say 2-3 hours.

I never shutdown my MBP (or my previous PBs), unless I'm going to open it up (as in change the harddrive/RAM/optical). It's always sleeping. I rarely even restart (usually due to an update).
