I have had my MBP for over 2 weeks now and I have had an Incase sleeve its not really a true sleeve as it has pockets and things but I have been very impressed. in the pictures on the apple website there is a shoulder strap but I have not put this on it yet as i do not feel the need. Although it being slightly more than a sleeve it is perfect for putting in and out of bags.

I would give it a 9/10

I like the Tucano Second Skin also. They seem a lot cheaper in the USA (looking at links other member provided) compared to Australia ($60.00 AUS/$54.00 US)

In reality, I don't see any need to cover my Mac notebooks. The aluminum is durable and doesn't scratch up. I just toss mine in a messenger bag and turn the top towards any folders or magazines to avoid scratching via a zipper.

Some of those sleeves are so big and ugly and I like showing off that I actually have a Mac.

what exactly are you showing off when its in your backpack? the sleeves are just for transporting, its not like you use it with the laptop in it. I would never just throw my mbp in a backpack, while the aluminum is durable I have seen kids in my school do exactly what you do and their laptops look like crap with scratches and little dents all over.

Look at freitag.ch top notch sleeves. The white one looks realllllyyy great! Their expensive, but their really durable and "Made in Switzerland" ;-)

really expensive... 62 euros... but i've got to admit they look nice though. I agree that the sleeve is used mainly for transportation purposes, sometimes I would also like to hold the mbp like a file by hand as well if i don't intend on bringing a bag out

You may want to take a look at the Moshi sleeve/case I'm using. It's a bit of a hybrid. It is slim like a sleeve, so it will fit into a messenger bag or backpack, but it also has a handle so you can carry it around without an additional bag. What I really like about it is that I can use my macbook without having to remove it from the case.

I put mine in a incase neoproen and throw it in a messenger bag.

If you are worried about it being discolored you can just pick one up yousrelf from the apple store so you can see it before you buy it. Unless of course there isnt one in your area.

Yeah I toss mine in my bag too. Along with a container of half eaten french toast where the syrup has spilled out in my bag, keys, hand sanitizers.

The other day I noticed a stain on my Tucano bag. When I got home I tossed it the chair to later clean it. Two days later I pick it up and the stain is gone. Very weather proof.
