Your ORIGINAL post was almost believable. However...

Well it's the truth. I don't really care if you believe it or not. I also been able to call people while walking home, listening to music. I don't know what's wrong here, but with iOS 6 this never happens. It's a touch screen for petes sake.

I don't see why this isn't believable.

I don't have the "erase after 10" feature enabled, but I was locked out of my phone for 5 minutes because the PIN had been entered incorrectly several times by my pocket.

I've also taken the phone out of my pocket to find it dialling something like 919488421#*2214824* as an emergency number.

Anyone have a problem with the slide to unlock activating by accident while in your pockets? This have happened several times, and when I pull my phone out, it says locked for xx minutes as if I put in wrong pin multiple times.

I agree with what you say about notifications.

It's also a problem with the music controls - they are really easy to trigger now you don't have to press the home button twice.

Yeah happens to me every day... Absolutely obnoxious. Half the time when I pull my phone out of my pocket it's on the home screen or trying to text someone a reply. I have to start getting in the habit of putting my screen facing away from my leg now =/ Or if I'm listening to music and get a message, my ears get blasted from accidental sliding of the volume rocker -_-

I've had every one of these issues in iOS 7. I've used an iPhone since launch day in 2007 and have always placed the phone in my pocket screen facing my leg, never had an issue until now. It's way too sensitive.

For those of you who are able to file iOS 7 bug reports (which should be all of you ;) ), please do so. Now is the time. Unfortunately, I don't have an iOS 7 dev account, so I'm unable to file a report myself.

(Before I get jumped on for commenting on something I haven't experienced for myself: I have enough experience as a dev to know this issue could be a potential problem. I'm more interested in developing for OS X, but I might join the iOS7 dev program to get another (albeit small) voice heard.)

This is happening mostly while you are listening to audio and you receive a notification. The play control screen comes up while a notification lights up the screen makes it more vulnerable to unlocking in the pocket.

Is this happening to people that don't put a pass lock in their phones? Because i haven't experienced this issue at all.
no it's not passcode related or dependent. It's more related to the fact that the lock screen has now been made to be much less locked so to say.

somehow yesterday at work my iphone unlocked itself, laucnhed the Apple Maps app, go into routing mode and I started getting voice prompts in the middle of a meeting!!! Turn left then turn right in the middle of a freking meeting!!! :D

So, did you follow the instrunctions ? :D

It was telling him where the coffee machine was. Way to go apple for innovating!

Yeah, that's quite important :p
Today we had another meeting and the first action point of the meeting was.. "please everyone turn of their satnavs unless you feel terribly lost" or something like that. Everyone laughed again :D even me.

This is happening to me all the time and it's driving me mad.

I have the phone in a leather sleeve in my pocket and the camera activates. Eventually I feel something hot in my pocket and pull out my phone, pull it out of the sleeve and find it turned in with the camera app activated.

I really hope they do something about this. I thought of disable the camera from the lock screen, but it's not even an option.

Yeah, this bug is maddening. I find it happens a lot when I'm working out because my shorts are more loose, therefore my phone moves around more. My phone has sent so many random "fg dwrtw it ae hit" text messages to people in my phone. Usually its just an annoyance, but the other day it sent a random jibberish text to my boss. That was awkward and embarrassing to say the least.

This has never happened to me. I honestly don't understand how this is happening (obviously it is). It's just confusing.

I think it depends a lot on the clothing you wear. When I wear just regular khaki shorts or jeans (both are a bit tighter fitting), this is a non-issue. It really only occurs when I wear loose fitting clothing that allows the phone to move around in. Also, the fabric material could have something to do with it, I would assume? It has to be conductive to detect input on the screen, right? Hmm.

But you would have to press the home button or sleep/wake button to activate the screen, unless you received a notification. I'm sure someone mentioned that they wear tighter trousers and it happens to them too.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this happens usually after getting a notification. So the screen is active, then my leg simply unlocks it after getting the notification.

I've had a few instances where I'd get a notification and my music volume would go way up. Not only is it an annoyance, it's dangerous.
