I'm a fan of this one...

And actually, Best Buy just started selling it, rebranded as Fire Dog, for $14.99.

Its actually on sale for $9.99 this week, Rocketfish not Firedog (Firedog is Circuit City's in store computer techs). Saw it in store, looks nice actually. Any idea how snug a 3g iPhone would be in it?

Review over at iLounge gave it a B minus - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/covercase-iphone-slip-hard-leather-case/

BTW, they look the same but are they actually just re-branded?

I'm interested in a foofpod (the name always makes me smile... a good sign I should say!), can you report back on how snug it is, and how much protection you think it offers? Like if I dropped the iPhone (inside the foofpod) from waist height, do you think it'd crack the iPhone?

i just ordered one.
should be here on monday next week.
ill keep you poster :D

i have the sena elega for mine. yea its a little tight, but it'll never fall out. and when you have it clipped to your belt its a lot easier to take out then when its not. and its well padded, i'm happy with it.

I just got mine today. It arrived after 4 days!!! :) From Australia to Denmark. Impressive..

I like it really much. It has a real good fit (tight) and the protection is super for me. I got because when my iPhone is in my backpack or pocket etc., it would be nice to have it covered so it wouldnt get scratch'd up..

I'm not sure if it could take a fall, but I guess so. Imagine a iPod Sock (the ones from Apple) way more paddded with even more materials and satin inner, then you have a foof.

I'm very happy with mine :D

Check out Vaja's cases, they're amazing.

The only reason I wouldn't get one now is because it takes a while for them to make the case for you. They're all made hand-made when you order them, with thousands of different personalization options. I'll probably pick up a Sena ultraslim pouch for my iPhone 3G for now and get a Vaja ivolution SP later on.

Too bad it's a flash site and you can't order one from your 3g.

But I would say that a foof is WAY more protective than those Sena Ultra Slim Pouch though. The Sena is just a thin layer of leather around the iPhone. A Foof is like a pillow with a iPhone inside of it ;)

I ordered the classic Retro Slim Bag for my 3G. It seems nice for everyday use. For more extreme conditions, I will probably get the Otterbox Armor Case for iPhone, whenever they release it for the 3G.
