Not many people know that you can slow animations down with holding down the Shift key.

So for example if you click the Launchpad icon in the dock whilst holding down the Shift key it will appear slowly.

It's actually quite an old feature of mac os and certainly not new in Mojave.

Nevertheless what is new in Mojave is Stacks.

And an even less well known feature of Mojave is that slow animations work in Stacks!

So for example if you hold the Shift key whist selecting Use Stacks in View in the menu bar the stacks will be created slowly.

Likewise if you expand a stack whilst holding down the Shift key it will be expanded slowly.

I think slow animations is pretty cool and even cooler now that it works for Stacks too!

Most system animations will be slowed down when the Shift key is held down.

There are some exceptions in newer versions of macOS with some system animations. I've noticed Mission Control animations can no longer be slowed down this way.

I'm liking Option + Click on a stack which would open (or close) all stacks at the same time... but too bad, shift + option + click doesn't do the same thing but slower.
