I have just noticed the smallest of chip in my macbook also, I am sure it ran out of warranty a few weeks ago :(
That sucks.:confused:Perhaps they will fix it it is only a few weeks hope they do.:)i suppose it is easy to chip a Mac-book with moving it about all the time.As opposed to an iMac as it stays in one spot.

"stays in one spot" sometimes means the iMac is a target!
I have an iMac, set up for video/audio recording (now includes live-streaming), and have a small storage area for mics and cables, underneath the countertop where the iMac sits. I accidentally swung a mic cable XLR connector that "tapped" the iMac screen, leaving just that kind of chip on the edge of the screen (and unfortunately also cracked across the screen, as well). Stationary does not mean less vulnerable, if you have a brainless dolt carelessly swinging stuff around (that would be me! )

I have had something like this too. At first I thought it was dead pixels bit I could actually feel something on the screen, and it won't clean off.

Just noticed the other day, I have no idea how they got there as It's been sitting on my desk 99% of the time due to covid lockdowns. I contacted Apple support and they said to take it in but didn't mention if it would cost anything or not.

Has anyone in Australia dealt with anything like this? It's a 219 16" that's 1 ½ years old and I'm pretty sure warranties are 2 years by law here for products like this.
