So, I just photographed my screen at full brightness with a dSLR camera and a 60mm macro lens (because, why not?) And I don't see the spot OP says is on all the phones he's tried.

Two possibilities:

1. OP is really unlucky, and this is a sign from above that maybe iPhones aren't for them.

2. It could be an artifact in the carrier flag image. Each carrier provides the banner image that shows their name there. Maybe it has something to do with that?

Anyway, image at full resolution attached. Note that there is a ClearCoat cover, and probably some dust on the screen.

Either way, it's nothing to freak out about. OP, just wait until you notice the "pressure point blemish." If you think you can't unsee the spot you're already obsessing over....

Oh, and heaven forbid you end up with a Samsung chip! :D

OP. Hey I understand your frustration. I went through multiple iPhone 6's because of screen defects. One after another had the same issue or or a different one in different places. It really boils down to a lottery with these particular and most LCD screens in general I've learned. I've seen dark shadowy blotches, yellowing spots, color temp shift from yellow to cool white left to right and the dark corners. Once you see these things it's hard to unsee it and you want to return it only to find the next one has the same or different or worse problem! I really hope they switch suppliers for the lcd's on the iPhone 7. The 6 and 6S has way too many bum screens out there. The majority of people don't notice but for us that do it sucks. I finally have a decent 6 screen after going trough 7 but this one has a dust speck in the upper left corner near the signal dots!! Oh well I've learned to live with it. At least the coloring is even and it's mostly evenly lit. Bottom line though is... Nothing's perfect! I was going all OCD about this for far too long and many people do. You will probably only have the device for 2-3 years tops until you get the next iPhone so it's best to probably just calm down and enjoy the device. That's what I'm doing! Have a great day!

Yup, it's there.

They're all defective OP. Guess you'll have to get an Android phone. :)

Yuck will never get an android phone even if iPhones were made with a crack in the screen!!!!

Well I just hope to get a better picture so you can see!!! I am not complaining but I want to know if you guys or at least some of you with a good vision can see their phones....

Have a look
I really don't see anything.

Maybe a tiny tiny mark that only shows up when you have a complete white screen which would never be under normal operating conditions. I stand by my words, there's no issue, and I think you're creating more stress, and frustrations on a non-issue.

Relax, enjoy the phone, it will most likely be replaced in 2 years anyways (some people get phones annually). Its not like you're going to spend the rest of your life with it.

See nothing that would make me return my iPhone 5 times.

I think you are driving yourself crazy worrying about nothing.

But that is your choice. No way you got 5 iPhones with the exact same problem that we all can not see. Looking back on you previous posts you have problems with you Mac screen and even your watch screen. Take that as a hint!

Looks like you will be returning this one again.

Enjoy

Yes when you are a business customer they bend... And bend low

I do see the (admittedly tiny) mark in the photos the OP has identified, but has anyone else seen this? It's not present on my 5s.

well I can and have seen it in a few phone's else would not be making this up...... I am going to walk in with 3 phones and show it to them lets see what they say... they are all with in the same area and no its not a pixel.

Perhaps, but the point remains, it does not seem like an issue that is noticable, except for you. I personally would recommend that you enjoy the phone and not worry about it. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Have a look at the line near the first bar...my point remains as to why would it happen at the same spot or near by???

If you're seeing the same exact mark on all the phones, then exchanging them will have zero impact, i.e., those too will exhibit the issue that is bothering you. I can't say there is the same mark on all the phones, because I've not really seen anything.

I actually think that the marks OP and a few others are seeing is dust under the screen....There's another thread with this issue and it looks like dust is somehow entering through the mute/vibrate switch, specifically on the iPhone 6s/Plus

I'm guessing because of the 3d touch technology there seems to be a gap  With the 6S/Plus if you set the mute switch to on, turn the brightness to max and go in a dark room you can see light leakage.
