Very frustrating that a little over a year later and the iPhone X is being treated like Apple's dirty little past. I guess with the current slow down in sales on new iPhone models Apple desperately needs to do everything they can to save face with investors.

It just makes it harder to be an Apple customer at the end of the day. This past Christmas season we wanted to purchase new cases for our family for our iPhone X's... unfortunately Apple had completely discontinued that line so finding them was next to impossible.

I got some knockoffs off of Ebay.. not the real thing but I didn't really have any other option.

Last time I buy a "refresh" apple product.

The iPhone X set the path for the next 10 years, said Tim Cook, but discontinued it a year later and seems to not support it anymore. Early adopter issues.
It did set a path for the next generation of iPhone. That is the new design and why would they keep selling the iPhone X when the XS is the same phone but with improvements. They didn’t discontinue it they updated it.

IOS 12.1.2 Model MQCL2LL/A not that i think the model matters but....

Have you tried powering the phone off and back on?

Removing the case and re attaching multiple times?

I wonder if you snook past the accessory protection prompt in place, as a one-off

this is CRAZY scummy of apple to shun their $1000+ paying customers

Disappointing! Off to cancel my order..!
What’s disappointing? You ordered a case for your X even though it says on apple.com it’s not compatible? o_O
[doublepost=1547664804][/doublepost]Because ip
Apple is pretending like the X never existed for some reason - they pulled all of the silicone cases and nearly every accessory for it and started making XS versions and never looked back.

Edit: I see some people saying it works, that's good news at least - but every accessory is only made for the XS now.
becuase iPhone XS cases work with the X that’s why. Don’t see why people are getting all upset over this battery case thing. When apple released it for the iPhone 7 the case only worked for the 7 not the 6 or 6s and not the 7.

Tim Cook said if you want to buy the HUMP 2, you better be ready to shell out at least $1K. He's tired of you people whining and complaining but you never return the love to Apple by buying their new product.

Are all your posts incomprehensible or is it just me?

I understand generally what youre saying or what I think you're saying, but you have some problems articulating basic thoughts

You're saying, Tim Cook says you must pony up if you want the goods. You complain about it, but then you go out and buy it.

...But at face value, your post is incomprehensible.

And when they all end with , people ironically roll their eyes at your comments and move on

It's all about the software updates in making the cases compatible or not. Not that I didn't see that coming. It's what Apple does.

Even if some "lucky" ones did get it working with X, I'd say its not compatible

What are you going to do, extensively research every iOS update to see if it breaks compatibility? For the privilege of paying $129? Nawwwww

Hopefully Apple didn’t do what I partly expect Apple to do

Someone get this guy a demotion!

All this penny pinching and rubbing customers the wrong way *will* add up in the long term, I have no doubt.

Apple exhaustion *will* settle in and best case scenario for people turned off but still intrigued by the brand, will just use their old devices spitefully 'forever' (forever in an Apple context of breakneck upgrade cycles). Tim says he's cool with it, but we'll see when new sales are on life support across the board

Their service offerings couldnt be weaker, but yet he's putting all his chips on it for 2019, rhetoric wise.

Enjoying my iTunes match yearly sub and whomping 99 cent/mo 50GB iCloud plan, Timmy!

iPhone battery replacement programme impacted sales?

Better not launch a iPhone case for iPhone X then, otherwise they wouldn't have any good reasons to upgrade to iPhone in 2019.

What a greedy evil company Apple has turned into. Worse still, if Apple wanted to they could make these things compatible with the iPhone X with a software update but this is Apple we're about. Better to stick to an honest and reputable company such as Google and Samsung. They have ethics.

Just another shining example of innovation from the company that sells you a MacBook Pro power adapter without the necessary cable.

Want an extension cable? Maxed out MBP wont get you it, but a $999 air will!

Want a headphone dongle? A maxed out max wont get you it, but old batches of iPhone 7 and 8 will..

Want to connect your iDevice to your USB-C mac out of the box? No no no... that'll be $29!

Want to charge with that $29 cable from a wall outlet? That'll be another $49

Royal treatment :D

At least Rene Ritchie is calling it out, these smart battery case games. That's more than one could say for Gruber. He's the true de facto apple apologist, starts off "i didnt hate the original hump"

If it were any other company, he would GRILL them.
