I have one of each. As mentioned early in the thread, they are closer in real life than you might think. The leather is really thin (but nice) but not "obviously" leather like Vaja or something. The nice thing about the poly is that you can actually clean it without problems.

Both really have their own advantages and disadvantages. Polyurethane is cheaper, easier to clean, wears quicker and doesn't look, smell and feel as good as leather.
Leather is more expensive but is much more luxurious. It is more durable so will last longer if you maintain it well. However it is easier to get dirty and therefore ruin.
If you don't mind spending extra and are willing to look after it then get a leather one or even a more expensive one like vaja. However if you aren't into luxury or want something that is easy to clean and will last a few years then go for the polyurethane.
