I really really hate the word "smart watch", because they aren't a watch at all. A watch is a male jewelry that tells time. A "smart watch" is almost always a health and fitness device that provides metrics on a person's health and activity. I expect my S3 watch to last for another two or three years before I recycle it. I don't expect my self winding watch to be recycled anytime soon.
When you hear the word "smart watch", think "fitness tracker" or "exercise band", do not think of a "watch".
