I only keep the texts that matter i.e. fiance, sister, mom, dad, and texts concerning gigs. Otherwise I will delete the rest without question.

I don't think that was necessarily nokia's fault though. I think it was just a product of the network capabilities coupled with the lack of storage space on the phone. It did suck but it shows how far things have come.

I think it was Nokia's. I had another Nokia that didn't have that problem and some sort of Samsung flip phone that didn't have that problem

I've never deleted mine and when I updated from my original iPhone to a 4 last summer I restored from backup- so I have texts going back to launch day of the original iPhone :p I like to go back through them sometimes.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (device; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Ever since I've started using smartphones, I've never deleted my message logs. I haven't gotten any low space warnings either, so I'll keep them all there. I thought it was bad that the krzr I had once upon a time could only hold 200 messages. It sea like some of you guys have had it much worse.

Never deleted a single one since iphone ownership from '08, and i've even kept all my old Nokia's just for the sake of the txt's (except for the ones from the end of the 90's early 00's that only had like a 20 txt limit!).. not that i'll ever read em again, just can't get rid of them...

I guess as i slowly lose my memory, this is one way to hold onto some of it..

For my gf (current gf that is) I keep it until it auto deletes (if it does that). Never know when you need to scroll through the string of messages and prove someone wrong.

It doesn't auto delete. I still have every text message my girlfriend and I have ever sent. Been together for over a year. There's probably over 20,000 text messages with just her and I alone.

I actually keep all text messages, not really sure why. When I first got my iPhone I just never deleted them, and now it's just become a habit of leaving them.
