Really? You are continuing with the same argument that everyone else uses?
People send MMS because the vast majority of cell phone users have a camera but do not have email on their phones. Therefore, they can send or receive an MMS without waiting until they get home to check their email.
This is a "tech centered" forum so most people posting here probably have quick access to their personal email through their phones or computers. The fact is that most people with cell phones do not have that access so please.....bury this particular argument until you can prove everyone has email access on their phones.
Sure you can SEND a pic via email on the iphone, but that doesn't mean the other person is going to receive it on his/her phone. And since most phones default to sending pics to a phone number (just a phone number) and not an email address, what you receive is a link to ATT's pathetic excuse of a server because sending to a phone number alone is MMS, not email. I don't know how it's handled in other countries - maybe their version of viewmymessage.com is better.
Alright no need to start throwing that word around.
But yes, I understand MMS is still widely used. It just seems like when you reach a certain adult age, who cares about sending a funny picture to 25 friends?
Verizon has become AOL when it first came out and all you had in your inbox was 35 chain letter telling you to:
